It was only when an alarm sounded from Ji Fanyin’s bag that he finally snapped out of his trance. 

Bai Zhou glanced at her bag and ordered, “Silence it.”

This time, Ji Fanyin didn’t fulfill Bai Zhou’s request patiently as she had all this while. She calmly showed him the time on her watch and said, “Your reservation has to come to an end.”

It was now 8 o’clock. Even the most luxurious pumpkin carriage would have to disappear once her service came to an end. 

Bai Zhou: “…”

There was a nasty look on his face, reminiscent of a kid who got his gaming console confiscated before he could save his progress. 

Ji Fanyin took out her phone and killed the alarm before turning her body toward Bai Zhou. Her action caused their knees to inevitably knock together in the narrow neoprint booth.

Bai Zhou immediately darted backward as if he had gotten something dirty on him, shouting, “What are you doing?”

“I would appreciate it if you would let me pass,” said Ji Fanyin politely. “I have a facial at eight-thirty. I don’t like to be late for my appointments.”

She gestured toward the doorway of the narrow neoprint booth with a glance. 

There was only one way out of this neoprint booth, and Bai Zhou was blocking it with his huge body. How was she supposed to leave if he didn’t give way?

“Or do you not want me to go?” she casually teased.

Those words were effective at provoking Bai Zhou. He shot a vicious glare at Ji Fanyin before rising to his feet and striding out. 

While walking off, he didn’t forget to turn around and threaten her, “Don’t you dare utter a word about what happened today to anyone else. Otherwise, I’ll let you know what regret is!”

“Don’t worry, I am a professional.” Ji Fanyin was unfazed by Bai Zhou’s threat. She tidied up her slightly messy hair a little before adding on, “No one will know unless you tell others on your own accord like Song Shiyu.”

Bai Zhou felt contempt for the false strong front she was putting on. “You need not put on such an act. There’s no one who doesn’t know that you like Song Shiyu.”
