At 9 AM, the trainees gathered and began the first round of performance song selection and group recording.

The mentor hosting the event was Ren Qian.

When Ren Qian saw the anxious trainees approaching the first-floor production studio, he lightened the atmosphere with a few jokes before getting to the point, saying, "Your first official performance will be a position evaluation."

As Ren Qian announced the rules, the light gray curtain behind him separated to reveal three areas marked with different colors. Each area was also labeled with the following words: Dance, Vocal, and Rap.

Stepping aside to make way, Ren Qian continued, "Please decide your position on the first public stage within three minutes and decide which side of yourself you will show to win the audience's favor."

Every trainee more or less had a position they were better at than others. So long as the trainees had a clear understanding of themselves, they could quickly make a decision.

Everyone had taken their positions before the three minutes were up and stopped moving.

Song Yingshi chose the Dance group, and to her right was the Vocal group where Huai Xu stood.

Song Yingshi glanced at Huai Xu in the distance before quickly estimating the number of people in each area.

Eighty-four trainees remained in the show. If they were distributed evenly, each area would theoretically have 28 people.

In reality, the vocal group had the most people, and its marked area was packed to the brim. The dance group came in second, while the rap group had the least trainees, with fewer than 20 people.

Once everyone had decided on their group, Ren Qian shared the songs assigned to each group.

Each group had four songs, each designated to have five to eight performers.

The practice room versions of the stages were sequentially shown on the large TV in the studio. Each song had a different style of performance, and all of them evoked exclamations and fondness from the trainees.
