News regarding the commencement of war shook all races within a single day. In particular, they couldn’t believe that the Mother Goddess had gone on the offensive this time.

The differences in ideologies led to the most powerful races siding with the Savior, causing the Mother Goddess’ faction to be weaker in quality and quantity. That forced them to adopt a more passive strategy, which was why it was surprising for them to take an aggressive stance.

The Kingmaker was nearly assassinated by the Savior and is now recuperating inside the Moonsoul Tower. He has chosen to side with the Mother Goddess following that incident.

Such whispers had been making their rounds among the races. It shed some light on why the Mother Goddess’ faction had chosen to take an aggressive stance at this juncture.

As much as the war between the Mother Goddess and the Savior was a fight between two powerhouses for supremacy, it was also a battle to determine the order of the new era. All races would be affected by the outcome of this battle, and that brought about a pressing question.

Who should I stand with?

It was of the essence to choose a faction here. Staying neutral was not an option. Those who chose the wrong side would at least have some bargaining power when they surrendered to negotiate for more favorable terms, but those who refused to choose would only be left in the dust. There would be no place for them in the new era.

Now that the Mother Goddess had claimed the legitimacy upper ground via the Kingmaker’s support, Her next course of action was naturally to make a display of power. If Her faction could achieve a victory over the Savior at this juncture, it could convince those who were still sitting on the fence
