I'll Still Love You Tomorrow Chapter 8: An Indirect Kiss Partner

Chen Kai exhaled, he deleted the unsent text word by word and adjusted his emotions before re-typing another text.

Chen Kai, “I wasn’t with my phone darling, what is it?”

Lu Jingyan replied, “Look at the chat.”

Chen Kai had already read all the texts, but he waited about ten seconds before typing in the chat, “What do the two goddesses want to eat?”

Song Xian chose the restaurant, it was a Cantonese place that opened recently. Chen Kai booked the private room, and Young Lady Lu was just there to eat.

Since it was still early after the meal, Chen Kai scrolled through his phone with one hand to search for their next location.

There weren't many places they could go at night, and in the end, they went back to the bar they frequented.

After leaving the room, Chen Kai went to foot the bill, Song Xian went to the washroom and Lu Jingyan waited for them at the elevator.

It was the peak dinner period and there were large crowds leaving the elevator everytime it opened.

Chen Kai and Song Xian were taking a while and in her boredom, Lu Jingyan sent Sheng Xian a text.

“Brother, have you eaten?”

As always, he read the text but didn’t reply.

She had been sending him texts for more than a week and was starting to run out of ideas. Lu Jingyan didn’t bother looking into the screen, texting him random letters, it was as though text messages were free.

The lift door opened and another group of people came out. She continued to send out random messages and just then, she heard a long string of notification alerts.

Lu Jingyan turned in the direction of the sound.

It was Sheng Xian. He wore a black trench coat, and walked out of the lift with a hand in his pocket.

She kept her phone and straightened.

Their eyes met. Just as Lu Jingyan was about to greet him, someone in front of her called out to him.

Lu Jingyan turned.

The voice came from a girl wearing a mask and cap. Even though Lu Jingyan couldn’t see her face, she recognised her clothes.

She was dressed exactly the same as the person she ran into at work that afternoon.

Lu Jingyan wasn’t a presence that was easily ignored and Bo Mu saw her right at once.

She hadn’t expected to bump into Lu Jingyan here and froze slightly before sliding her gaze to Sheng Xian, “I’m here.”

Lu Jingyan turned towards Sheng Xian.

Sheng Xian ignored her, walked towards Bo Mu and they entered a cafe.

Lu Jingyan looked towards Sheng Xian’s backview and blinked a couple of times, she only got back to her senses when the both of them disappeared from sight.

He ignored her.

He didn’t just ignore her, he had talked to another woman in front of her.

Lu Jingyan realized Sheng Xian was indeed capable of infuriating her, he had done it once again after the subway incident.

Lu Jingyan watched as the two of them entered the cafe, she only retracted her gaze when Chen Kai and Song Xian came over. With a blackened face, she entered the lift silently.

When they reached the basement car park, Chen Kai and Song Xian left the lift one after the other.

They took two steps forward, realized Lu Jingyan hadn’t followed them and turned.

“Little Yan, why are you in a daze?” Song Xian asked.

Lu Jingyan didn’t respond until the second time Song Xian called her, “I’m not joining tonight.”

Chen Kai, “Ah? Why?”

“I have something important to do.” Lu Jingyan replied and she pressed the lift button.

“What important matter do you have?” Chen Kai asked in confusion.

Through the elevator doors, she looked at Chen Kai coldly, “Catch an adulterer.”

When she reached back to the floor they had eaten at, Lu Jingyan left the lift and took a deep breath as she focused on the cafe. She suppressed the fury within her and tried to look calm as she walked over.

The cafe waiter walked over enthusiastically, “Miss, how many of you are there?”

Lu Jingyan took one glance around the cafe but couldn’t find them so she asked, “Is there a private room?”

“There’s two but both are occupied.”

Before he could finish his sentence, Lu Jingyan walked into the cafe.

It was easy to find the private room, there were two facing each other at the end of the cafe.

Lu Jingyan wasn’t sure which room Sheng Xian was in so she randomly pushed one of them open.

Coincidentally, she was right.

“Miss, this room…”

She entered the room before the waiter could stop her.

While the waiter apologized to Sheng Xian and the shocked Bo Mu, Lu Jingyan leisurely placed her bag on the table and pulled out a chair, sitting beside Sheng Xian elegantly.

The room fell silent.

The waiter had been in this industry for a long time but it was the first time she had seen someone try to take over a private room so brazenly.

She looked at the three of them helplessly, not knowing how to handle the sudden situation.

She racked her brain for a very long time and settled with the all purpose apology, “I’m sorry…”

Sheng Xian, who had the same expression the entire time, cut her off. He glanced up lightly, “It’s alright, you can go out.”

Lu Jingyan chuckled, turning towards Sheng Xian with curved eyes, “You’re helping me out?”

Bo Mu seemed to return to her senses, “Lu Jingyan, what are you doing here? Didn’t you pretend not to know me this afternoon…”

Lu Jingyan ignored her, focusing on Sheng Xian, she asked, “We haven’t met in a week, do you miss me?”

Bo Mu stilled.

Lu Jingyan propped her chin in her palm as she eyed him, “I miss you.”

Bo Mu glanced at Lu Jingyan and turned back to Sheng Xian, pausing for two seconds, “You two know each other?”

Lu JingYan, who had been ignoring Bo Mu, graciously replied, "Well, he bought me with five hundred dollars.....”

Sheng Xian replied softly, “We’re not close.”

Lu Jingyan coughed lightly, glancing at the half finished cup of coffee in front of Sheng Xian. She pondered for a moment, picked up the cup and took a sip, “...An indirect kiss partner he isn’t close to.”
