I'll Still Love You Tomorrow Chapter 51: Lithromantic

In the beginning, Sheng Xian didn’t know he was ill.

During high school, there were many girls hovering around him as he was smart and good looking, his desk drawer was always filled with tidbits and pink letters.

The school prohibited students from dating but occasionally, there were a few daring girls that would confess to him openly.

At the start, he would feel discomfort when he heard the confessions.

Sometimes, he would suppress the discomfort and reject them, telling them not to bother him anymore.

But there were times when these girls would continue to bother him.

When the frequency increased, he would feel disgust.

It was a sense of disgust that came from within.

He couldn’t seem to suppress the feeling.

He could remember clearly, in his second year of high school, an outstanding girl confessed to him in the school field, in front of many students.

The girl had chased him since the first year of high school, and he had rejected her several times. Yet, she was still confident that she could win him over.

She confessed in the evening, the son was just starting to set, casting a warm golden glow over the field.

The girl wore a beautiful skirt and had prepared a touching speech for him.

There were many onlookers, some of them were even cheering her on.

The girl was young and pretty, she did well in school and had a good relationship with the other classmates.

Everyone agreed it was a great match.

But in the face of her confession, he wasn’t touched and he didn’t waver. Instead, he felt disgust and fear.

He wanted to leave but the girl held onto his shirt, unwilling to let him go. She kept telling him she liked him and that she genuinely liked him a lot.

He struggled to suppress his emotions but in the face of her anxious confession, a look of disgust appeared on his face, and when he couldn’t hold it any longer, he started dry coughing.

The girl was momentarily startled before bursting into tears.

Everyone watched in shock.

After that day, there was no longer admiration and praise surrounding him, instead, it was “How could he do that? Even if he didn’t like the girl, how could he vomit?” or “How could he disrespect someone’s confession in such a manner?” or “So what if he’s smart and handsome, he is just a scum.”

Faced with such criticism, Sheng Xian couldn’t seem to explain himself as he didn’t know what had happened.

It felt like he was stuck in a whirlpool and was falling deeper and deeper.

At the start, when he found out someone was interested in him, he would feel a mild discomfort and in the end, that would turn to fear and that fear would make him breathless and break out in cold sweat.

In the end, he wouldn’t be able to see those girls that had confessed to him.

The moment he saw them, he would feel an overwhelming sense of disgust.

He started to doubt himself, thinking that those girls were blind to have fallen for him.

He would deliberately throw a line with everyone, he could be kind and polite but yet maintain a distance.

Gradually, he was the only one left in his world.

It was fine even if he was alone.

He wouldn’t be able to hurt others.

It was only during his third year of university when Jian Mo met Zhuang Chen did he realize he was ill.

It was a pretentious disease.

It’s called lithromantic.

He hated those that like him, he would still fall for others but he didn’t wish for the person to reciprocate his feelings because the moment they like him, he would lose interest and start to hate the person.

All their sincerity would be a waste on him.

He wished the person he liked would never fall for him.

He could only like someone that didn’t like him.

He knew that Lu Jingyan might not end up falling for him.

But he didn’t want to hurt her.
