I'll Still Love You Tomorrow Chapter 52: I'm Straight

After leaving the hospital, Sheng Xian went to the supermarket.

He shopped with a plan, buying only the same few items, rounding up at the cashier very quickly.

There was a row of shops opposite the supermarket, and one of them sold plants. The shop had a whimsical design, there was a row of bonsai, some of them water bonsai that housed little fishes.

“Hello.”

The cashier’s sudden greeting broke his thoughts.

He retracted his gaze emotionlessly and placed the items in his trolley onto the counter.

Once he was done paying, Sheng Xian carried his groceries towards the lift but after taking a few steps, he turned back.

Ten minutes later.

Sheng Xian looked at the well protected water bonsai on his passenger seat and felt an impending headache.

What was he doing?

How could he have bought that water bonsai?

The supermarket was a five minutes drive from Sheng Xian’s neighborhood. The neighborhood security guard recognized Sheng Xian’s car, and greeted him warmly when he drove through, “Mr Sheng.”

As usual, Sheng Xian nodded slightly in acknowledgement. Before he entered the parking garage, he suddenly slammed into the brakes and rolled his car window down, and passed the water bonsai to the security guard.

Back home, Sheng Xian unpacked the groceries, placing the fresh food in the fridge. As for the other home essentials, he left it in the bag and casually tossed it aside.

He walked out of the kitchen, glanced at the water basin on the kitchen table, and felt his head hurt.

He walked over and peeled off the protective layer.

The fishes inside were as small as ants, they swam around happily, forming tiny ripples.

Less than five minutes after he gave the security guard the water bonsai, he parked his car at the side, walked over to the security guard office and knocked on the door. In the face of an enthusiastic greeting, he reached his hand out coldly to take the water bonsai. It was an even bigger cause for a headache.

Sheng Xian sighed, he circled his room with the water bonsai and placed it in a visible spot.

Back in the master bedroom, after he had showered, he went about his usual routine. He grabbed a book from the book shelf and started reading in bed.

As he flipped through the book, he suddenly felt like something was amiss.

Few seconds later, he slowly gazed down on the bed sheets.

She slept on these sheets yesterday…

“……”

Sheng Xian blanked, not understanding his active thoughts.

“……”

Few seconds later, he jumped off the bed as though there were germs on the bed, and went to get a fresh set of bed sheets.

You’re mad.

Sheng Xian, you’re mad.

She slept in your bed for a night and yet you manage to misconstrue such a normal thing!

Sheng Xian shut his eyes, and stuffed the used sheets in the washing machine.

Unable to read anymore, Sheng Xian picked up the bag in the corner and started to organize the things.

Right at this moment, his phone rang.

Lu Jingyan, “Brother, brother!”

Lu Jingyan, “Are you done with your appointment?”

Sheng Xian held his phone with one hand and rummaged through the bag with another.

Sheng Xian, “Mmh.”

Lu Jingyan, “Brother, don’t you need to rest during the weekends? What are you busy with?”

Sheng Xian, “I met a friend and went to the supermarket.”

Lu Jingyan, “Supermarket?”

Even through the screen he could feel the little kid’s excitement.

He didn’t understand why she would feel excited over the supermarket.

Before he could reply, another message appeared.

Lu Jingyan, “Brother, what did you buy in the supermarket?”

Lu Jingyan, “Did you buy me a pair of slippers?”

Sheng Xian, “…”

He didn’t understand why she was so confident he would remember her casually spoken words.

Lu Jingyan, “Is it pink?”

Lu Jingyan, “Is it size 36?”

Sheng Xian cut her off emotionlessly, “I didn’t get it.”

He placed his phone down, and took out the last item in the bag.

It was a fluffy pink slipper with rabbit ears in size 36.

The little kid was disappointed and responded glumly, “Oh.”

Sheng Xian stared at the slippers for a while, removed the plastic wrap and placed it in the shoe cabinet outside.

Back inside, he shut the doors and glanced at his phone again. There were two new messages.

Lu Jingyan, “Brother, are you sleepy?”

Lu Jingyan, “If you aren’t sleepy, can I call you?”

Before he could think of a reply, the call came in.

Sheng Xian, “…”

Why did she even ask for his opinion?

She was just informing him.

Sheng Xian hesitated before answering the call.

He hadn’t realized it was a video call until her face appeared on the screen.

She probably just finished showering, her face was clean, stripped off all the makeup.

She must be a fan of pink, both her head band and pajamas were pink.

She chuckled when she saw his face, “Brother, do you know what I did after reaching home? I did some research and realized that gays were more likely to get AIDS.”

Sheng Xian, “…”

The little kid was so serious it seemed as though she was reporting the news, “It isn’t just AIDS, gays are also more likely to contract other illnesses. Did you also know, a lot of gays have multiple partners?”

“……”

“Some would even cheat innocent girls into becoming their wife. I just read a news article about a wife that severed her husband because she could no longer endure his neglect and lack of concern.”

“……”

“She severed him into many pieces and froze them in the family fridge, taking the pieces out to feed stray dogs whenever she went out.”

Since it would take a while to convert him, Lu Jingyan decided to scare him.

She collected a few of such articles to scare him.

But before she could continue, Sheng Xian suddenly glanced up, “What was the last thing you said before you left?”

“Ah?” Lu Jingyan stumbled and continued, “It’s going to be a matter of time before I turn you straight.”

“It’s not necessary.” Sheng Xian spoke calmly, his tone clear as the morning air, “I’m straight.”
