I'll Still Love You Tomorrow Chapter 5: You Can Take the Subway

Lu Jingyan couldn't figure the man in front of her, he set her birthday as his hotspot password but seemed indifferent towards her advances.

She had taken down around hundred men and had met some difficult ones, but this one was on another level.

Lu Jingyan stared at the five hundred dollar bill on the table, taking a while to come back to her senses.

She is the young mistress of the Lu family! She has been rich since she was just a fertilized egg! But yet, this man was using money to get rid of her!

Lu Jingyan narrowed her eyes, looking up with a displeased expression.

She thought that Sheng Xian was still looking at her, and had deliberately looked up with a cold and sinister gaze.

However, after he had given her money, he had gone back to his own business, it was as though she didn't exist.

Was her presence that weak?

Lu Jingyan blinked twice in disbelief. In just a short while, he wasn't even looking at her anymore. Lu Jingyan cleared her throat in frustration.

He didn't react.

Lu Jingyan cleared her throat more forcefully.

Sheng Xian continued to ignore her.

Lu Jingyan felt like it was a duel between an elementary school student and a college undergraduate. The elementary school student spent the entire night plotting and had arrived at the meeting ground excitedly but the college student didn't even bother to turn up because he wanted to sleep in.

It was frustrating!

Lu Jingyan generously gave Sheng Xian three seconds but when he continued to ignore her, she couldn't resist it any longer, stretching her hands out to tap the file he was reading.

Lu Jingyan was so displeased she didn't even bother to call him brother this time, "Hey."

Sheng Xian calmly finished the task at hand, and looked up slowly.

The impatient Lu Jingyan was just about to knock the table, but she stopped mid air when she met his gaze.

She was very pretty, the sort that was alluring but not gaudy and has fair baby-like skin. It was clear she came from a good family and had proper upbringing as her posture remained straight even though she was sitting casually. She had one hand on the table and another by her ear, looking like an obedient elementary student raising her hand to ask a question.

Sheng Xian stared at her slender arm for a few seconds before sliding his gaze to her face, "Why are you still here?"

Lu Jingyan was stumped, the words she had prepared stuck in her throat.

Sheng Xian waited for a few seconds, but she didn't reply. His gaze lowered towards the cash beneath her palm and he asked, "The cab fare isn't enough?"

Lu Jingyan, "..."

Lu Jingyan wasn't going to forgive him if he used another hundred dollars to humiliate her. Instead, he twirled his pen, and said, "You can take the subway."

The subway.

He actually suggested for her to take the subway.

It would've been better if he suggested for her to buy the subway.

Lu Jingyan was tempted to hit him with her phone.

There was a limit even if he wanted to play hard to get!

Wasn't he afraid she would be angered away?!

Lu Jingyan didn't have much patience but she wouldn’t lose her temper, even to someone insignificant.

This scum was rather capable, he frustrated her so much she felt violent.

Hitting him was easy, but that would be letting him off too easily.

Lu Jingyan shut her eyes, taking two seconds to calm down. She lifted her lips into an emotionless smile, and stood with the cash on the table.

She had never been this frustrated. This was the first time she had been stumped by a man and the thought infuriated her. Before she left, she suddenly had an idea. She waved a waiter over, “I suspect he gave me counterfeit money”

Waiter, "..."

Lu Jingyan arched her brow, “Please bring a cash verifier over, I would like to check its authenticity.”

Sheng Xian, "..."

Lu Jingyan had work the next day but at 12.30am, she was still tossing and turning, unable to fall asleep. Forgetting about sleep, she sat upright.

She ignored the late hour, and called Song Xian.

Song Xian would usually switch her phone off when she slept, so she would definitely be awake if the call went through. The phone rang for around 10 seconds, and just when Lu Jingyan was about to hang up, it went through.

Song Xian’s voice was muffled, probably because she was wearing a face mask, “I was just washing my face. What’s up babe.”

Lu Jingyan went straight to the point, “Am I not pretty enough?”

Song Xian replied, “Do you even have to ask? You’re the prettiest woman I've ever met, no wait, you’re a goddess.”

Lu Jingyan contined, “Is my figure not good enough?”

Song Xian replied, “It’s great. Sister Yan’s figure is good enough to be a model, a Victoria Secret angel.”

Lu Jingyan continued, “If you were a man and I asked you out on a date, would you be willing?”

Song Xian replied, “Your question isn’t right. If I were a man, I would never allow you to hit on me, I’d be the one chasing you for a date.”

Song Xian’s words were a world away from what the Scum had said.

“You can take a ride home with the extra hundred dollars.”

“Or you can choose to take the subway.”

How could there be such a drastic difference?

Lu Jingyan felt a little better after Song Xian’s coaxing. She leaned back on the headrest lazily and said, “Sister Xian, I’ve made up my mind.
