I'll Still Love You Tomorrow Chapter 4: What a Coincidence Brother, We Meet Again

Current Scum 1 continued sincerely, "I really like you."

Lu Jingyan, "..."

Silence fell over the table.

After around ten seconds, Current Scum 1 reached his hand out. Just as he was about to touch the back of her hand, she moved her hand back to tug her hair.

Current Scum 1 coughed awkwardly and retracted his hand, "Little Yan, we…"

"I'm sorry." She cut him off. As his face hardened bit by bit, she continued apologetically, "I can't accept you."

"Why? Is it because I was attached when we met? I broke it off last week." Current Scum 1 paused slightly, "Or am I lacking somewhere? Little Yan, tell me and I'll change…"

"It's not you, it's me." Lu Jingyan lowered her gaze looking crestfallen, "It's my fault. There's someone I can't forget."

Current Scum 1 stilled and said, "I don't mind, as long as you're with me, I really wouldn't mind and I promise to treat you well."

"The nicer you are, the worse I’ll feel. You're too good for me. I don’t feel worthy enough to be with you." She wanted to let him have a taste of his own medicine. Everytime a Scum breaks the heart of a girl that had given him her heart, he would use the same line, telling her that she was too good and that he was unworthy. Now, the tides have turned and he was on the receiving end.

Lu Jingyan looked devastated, and seemed on the brink of tears, “Let’s not contact anymore, I wouldn’t be able to forgive myself if I hurt you.”

“Goodbye…”

“Little Yan!”

Ignoring Current Scum 1’s sad expression, Lu Jingyan stood up and left.

Upon leaving the restaurant, Lu Jingyan heard Song Xian’s voice, “I’m here.”

Lu Jingyan turned and saw her.

Song Xian laughed cheekily as she walked forward to grab Lu Jingyan’s elbow. As they walked towards the bar downstairs, she said, “That was a good show.”

Lu Jingyan glanced at her, “You saw it?”

“The second half.”

Lu Jingyan chuckled.

Song Xian tilted her head and eyed her, “You are pretty and you have a good figure, why don’t you just find a man you like to date? Why are you always going against scums?”

It wasn't the first time Song Xian had asked her this question, but she never got an answer.

Song Xian and Lu Jingyan were university classmates. Back then, the entire campus knew about Lu Jingyan since her first day.

Everyone knew her as the smart and beautiful news department freshman who came from a prestigious family.

However, after around a month, news about her started to change.

It was no longer about her beauty, good grades or how wealthy her family is. Instead, word has it that she was rude and would give males preferential treatment.

Even though Song Xian and Lu Jingyan were from two different worlds, they became friends through Chen Kai.

Song Xian first met her in one of Chen Kai’s gatherings. Her first impression was that Lu Jingyan was an exceptionally pretty and straightforward person.

It was a matchmaking event and naturally, everyone would exchange friendly conversations. With her good looks, Lu Jingyan received alot of attention but she remained silent the entire time, not bothering to look up. She didn’t just ignore the guys, she didn’t bother with the girls as well. She would cooperate during the games, but it seemed as though she wasn’t present at all. Towards the end of the event, she complained about the noise and wore her earbuds, keeping to herself.

Back then, Song Xian was awed by her beauty but found her extremely unsociable.

Extremely unsociable.

She didn’t participate in group activities and was often by herself. She would hardly appear on campus if there weren't lessons and sometimes, she would eat in the school cafeteria by herself.

Song Xian did a simple calculation, she has known Lu Jingyan for about six years and in these six years, she and Chen Kai were her only friends.

Even though she had many ‘ex-boyfriends’, they were all just her prey.

“Other people date for money or happiness. What about you? You don’t want money and you don’t even enjoy dating so what are you after? The everlasting longing from the scums or the tears they shed after shattering their heart?” Song Xian felt unjust for her, “I could kill you for wasting your precious youth.”

Lu Jingyan ordered a glass of wine, and took out a slender cigarette from her bag, she took a slow puff. Through the thick smoke, she eyed the nagging Song Xian, “What about you?”

Song Xian was caught off guard, “Ah?”

“Haven’t you also been single all these years?” Lu Jingyan flicked her cigarette into the ashtray, “Why don’t you kill yourself.”

Song Xian, “...”

Song Xian was stumped, she downed two mouthfuls of wine and rebutted, “How many men have you toyed with this month?”
