I'll Still Love You Tomorrow Chapter 41: Where's the Money for the Drinks?

Lu Jingyan sighed silently. Sheng Xian didn’t take her money and her outstretched arm was getting tiring, after some deliberation, she retracted her arm and stuffed her money back into her wallet.

Without any music playing in the car, it was too quiet.

Sheng Xian looked forward at the road as though she wasn’t there, and had no intention of speaking to her.

Lu Jingyan didn’t expect to bump into him but now that they met, it was strange to not say anything.

He didn’t even seek her out, she was the one that forced herself into his car. Lu Jingyan pondered for a while, since she was the one that caused this situation, she should be the one that spoke first. “I didn’t expect to meet you here.”

Sheng Xian didn’t reply.

Lu Jingyan found it humiliating if he didn’t reply so she continued, “It’s such a coincidence. I was just about to leave and you happened to stop your car there. If it was a minute too early or too late, we would have missed each other.”

With that, she suddenly remembered she had beat someone, “You…just reached right?”

Sheng Xian replied calmly, “No.”

“……”

Her heart sank.

No?

Did he witness her beating someone?

Sheng Xian seemed to have guessed her thoughts, “I was there for a while. I saw you enter and leave the bar.”

Lu Jingyan, “...”

Which meant he didn’t just witness her beating someone, he also knew the reason she beat him.

He didn’t have to be so specific, she would be glad to hear him lie right now.

Lu Jingyan sighed and turned to look out the window, she realised that they had driven a distance away. When they reached the side of a road, she hurriedly said, “Mmh…you can just drop my off anywhere.”

Sheng Xian glanced at her through the rear mirror, “Where do you want to go?”

Lu Jingyan glanced down at the time on her phone. She didn’t wish to head home as it was still early. She scanned the surroundings and said, “The bar in front, go straight and turn left.”

Sheng Xian remained silent again.

After making a left turn, they met with the red light that was a minute long.

Lu Jingyan remembered he had stayed at the bar for about 40minutes and couldn’t help asking, “Were you waiting for someone at the bar just now?”

Sheng Xian replied patronisingly, “mmh.”

Lu Jingyan was embarrassed, “I can alight here, the bar isn’t that far away and you would be able to make a U-turn at the bridge ahead.”

The red light turned green.

Sheng Xian made a left turn in silence.

“Eh?” She exclaimed, “You really don’t have to send me there, you can head back to the bar…”

“Forget it.” Sheng Xian broke her off coldly.

Lu Jingyan didn’t have any rights to question him so she chose to keep quiet.

There wasn’t many cars on the road and in less than 2 minutes, they arrived at the bar.

After Sheng Xian stopped his car by the road side, Lu Jingyan thanked him, took her things and alighted the car.

Sheng Xian turned off his car engine, unbuckled his safety belt and alighted the car as well.

Lu Jingyan thought he wanted to use the restroom and graciously pointed to the nearby KFC. “There isn’t any restrooms in the bar, you can use the one on the second floor of KFC.”

Sheng Xian didn’t move.

Lu Jingyan thought for a while and passed him a packet of tissue, “You need this?”

Sheng Xian glanced at the tissue and arched his brows, “Where’s the money for drinks?”

“Ah?” Lu Jingyan took a while to register his words, and recalled she had passed him money for drinks.

F*ck, he was really asking for her money!

Lu Jingyan rolled her eyes and took out some cash for him, “Here, this is for you.”

Sheng Xian glanced at the money but didn’t reach for it, “Let’s go.”

With that, he walked towards the bar.

“……”

Let’s go?

Lu Jingyan looked at his silhouette, stilled and followed behind.

Sheng Xian pulled open the door and waited for her to enter before following.

When the waiter saw them, he asked enthusiastically, “Two?”

“Mmh.” He replied.

“No.” She countered.
