News of He Jiang meeting Shang Jing’s elders soon spread to his parents which led to their request for him to bring Shang Jing over to their place for a meal.

After all, it was only right for them to meet their son-in-law in person after seeing him through a screen for such a long time.

Moreover, how could they not seek their parent’s permission to hold a wedding especially when both Father He and Uncle Bo had expressed their wish to set a timing to have a meal together?
