Weighed down by the labels of ‘jerk’ and ‘failure of a human’, He Jiang replied with conviction, “There will be a wedding.”

“We will see what Xiao Jing wants to do. I’m up for it anytime.”

A satisfied Bo Rong and Uncle Jiang: “Then commence with the preparations.”

Before leaving, Shang Jing added Uncle Jiang on WeChat and made a request for him to keep what happened in the hospital mum, just in case Uncle Bo got worried.

It was definitely not because he wanted to help He Jiang cover his tracks. In fact, he would be more than happy to see He Jiang face some setbacks.

When they were leaving, Shang Jing and He Jiang received a large angbao from Uncle Bo, to which He Jiang automatically handed to Shang Jing in the car. “All for my wife.”

Shang Jing: “About the wedding…”

He Jiang: “My schedule is pretty packed at the moment. Can we hold the wedding sometime next year? It will give me more time to prepare too.”

He Jiang was sincere in wanting a wedding. But with Shang Jing’s condition, there was a chance the latter might be unable to accept the development after he regained his memories. As such, he could only make excuses to delay it.

Furthermore, with Shang Jing’s level of disdain for him at the moment, he was sure the lad would not agree to a wedding ceremony being held for them.

However, Shang Jing thought otherwise. “Were you lying to Uncle Bo and Uncle Jiang just now? Are you not intending to host a wedding ceremony for us?”

He Jiang: “We are already nearing the end of year, it’s a little too rushed to have the wedding this year.”

Shang Jing: “I don’t care whether it’s the end of year or not. There’s still some time left till lunar new year! Isn’t that when people have more free time to host weddings?”

He Jiang: This Puppy Shang sure is familiar with the Chinese customs. Where did he get his information these past 3 years?
