Long Xin simply nodded with a smile and crouched down to rest.

As Long Ruo got closer, she could see the faint outlines of a village. The buildings were rudimentary at best, but this place was far better than the underground caves they were forced to live in.

She saw hundreds of men and women fighting a fair distance from the village. She thought their moves weren’t bad and their level of training wasn’t low, either.

If either made a mistake, then their sparring partner would be severely injured. It seemed their time in the Dragon Domain had tempered their spirit, will, body, and ambition.

‘Not bad…’ she thought to herself.

They all saw her and stopped to execute a slight bow in her direction before continuing again.

She afforded them a subtle nod and went on her way. This arrangement was her doing, so they were thankful for that.

By now, she was in the heart of the village and a house that was slightly larger than the rest caught her eye.

She made her way over and stepped in without hesitation.

“Don’t you know how to knock!?” the rough voice of Long Huangdi was the first thing that greeted her and she shot a lour to the corner of the simple hut to see Long Huangdi staring at her.

“Oh hush love,” Long Nuhuang said to him in a teasing manner before she made her way over to Long Ruo.

However, when she saw the wounds that covered Long Ruo’s body, she covered her mouth in shock.

“What happened!?”

Long Ruo waved it off. “This is nothing. You should see the other guy.”

Despite Long Ruo not treating it like a big deal, Long Nuhuang was still deeply worried.
