Another World Trip: Journey with My Cat and an Otaku Loli Goddess Chapter 379 - The Ruined Virginity Of My First Relic

“Oh?” The youth rose a brow of interest in this information. “I have time.”

****

I was ripped off with my first-ever Relic experience. Ripped off, I tell ya.

Now you may be wondering, how did I get ripped off? Well, I’m glad you asked.

Full disclosure, I’m together with everyone. I made sure to wrap them with my spiritual force to not only have them keep up with me, but also to make sure we ended up in the same place.

Now, back to the main matter. We ended up in quite a nice place. Let me paint you a picture… and try to keep up.

So we’re in something like a different dimension, just getting that part out of the way.

At the moment, it was like the night sky took root here. Countless stars were above us even though we were in what I could only describe as a giant hallway.

Numerous pillars lined the walls, and they extended high into the sky before the darkness of night had their ends disappear from view. These pillars took holding up the sky to a whole new level.

Heh, get it? Because they went all the way into the sky, and the sky is still in the sk… yeah, you get it.

So anyway, the middle of the hallway had a luxurious red carpet that ran the length of it in both directions. The hallway appeared to go on forever and torches that burned with a strange pink flame gave it an eerie air in a way.

Between every pillar was a door that I am absolutely sure is filled with treasures. Not only that, based on the fact that my spiritual force is unable to reach the end of this place despite it being in the Martial Grandmaster realm, I knew this place was effin big.

Sooo, with that being said, this place was faaar better than the other place I headed to even though it wasn’t a relic… but it kinda was.

So on that note, my first experience sucked. My relic virginity was ruined, I say, ruined!

That ‘Not Relic’ didn’t even take me out for dinner or pay my cab fare. Plus, it was a threesome with Shen Ling and me, which, now that I think about it, probably locked her in as the Prime Waifu from the get-go.

Not to mention that the old man–

“Which direction do we head in?” asked Mina, cutting off my inner monologue from wandering somewhere an eleven-year-old’s mind was not meant to wander.

Pebbles only afforded both directions a glance before he declared. “Let’s flip a coin. Heads for right, tails for left.”

“Wait, Boring Di, for the thing you want me to build, we’re going to need Arc Crimson Obsidian and Starry Thunder Black Meteorite,” advised Jiancheng Shu.

Both of those things sounded so wuxia that it nearly unlodged my heavenly constipation.

If you’re wondering what that is, it is the state every cultivator apparently suffers when they eat food, but never shit it out. I have yet to let out that Monarch Gale Crimson Crow that I ate a few weeks back, mind you.

Now I’m not gonna complain, but that has to be problematic in some way, shape or form, right?

There is no toilet in this world or the next that will survive what I do to it when the time comes.

I looked at Pebbles, and I could tell he thought the same thing. Truly, he alone understands me.

“Okay, first of all, we’re going to check that door over there,” I pointed at the door that, to me, meant minimum effort. “Secondly, we’re doing this by ear.”

“Works for me,” Pebbles didn’t complain, and that was the biggest challenge out of the way.

“Are you gonna give me the materials needed to get to work on this for you?” Jiancheng Shu asked.

I looked at him and wondered if he was serious. His emotions weren’t the easiest to read since I based people’s moods on their eyebrows and this guy had none of those. Damn him.

“Those sound pretty expensive or rare, probably both. So we’ll try to see if we find some in this place.”

“Unlikely,” Qin Ling finally spoke up. “Those two materials are very rare. Even in a True Star Sage-level Relic, we’d be lucky if we could find a jin of either of these two materials. Most likely only the Qian Dao Sect would be able to source a usable amount of them.”

He shrugged in response. “I guess the best thing about being in a Ren’duan Dwelling is that you people already have the materials on hand.”

“Let’s get a move on Long Di. You and I both know that if you wait too long, the plebeians will swarm this place like bees do to children, and then we won’t get anything.”

Cultivation novel tropes you couldn’t control were like diarrhoea, inevitable and unavoidable. The only good thing was that you could at least predict one of those.

Well, that and the fact that when I spread my spiritual force before, I sensed an army of them making their way here like rabid donkeys.

Whoosh!

The minute I touched the door, it swung open with way more force than it should have before a suction force sucked me inside.

Shing!

Suddenly, formations that covered the interior of the room lit up and light swords materialised out of nowhere before they all shot towards me.

‘Foundation Forge Body Tempering Art on!’

Dum!

My cauldrons heeded my call and came out in full force and my sabre was already in hand!

‘Breaking Mundane Forging Heaven!’

Krrrsh!

Lightning erupted from the sabre as it danced in a whirlwind of Tempers!

I had no time to unleash my Untempered Tempers, so I blazed through the First Forging, then the Second Forging before I hit the wall with the failure of my Third Forging’s One-hundredth Temper!

It was only a shadow of what I knew it was and it fell short!

Pu Ci!

“Long Di!” Xiannu Liang and Qin Ling cried out when they saw a sword deflect the sabre before it ran through my leg!

Krrrsh!

Well hot damn, these swords are composed of lightning energy.

Joke’s on you, I’m into that shit.

“Stay back!” Pebbles ordered Qin Ling and Xiannu Liang to stay back when he saw them preparing to rush in.

Shing! Shing! Shing!

The formations lit up once again, and even more swords materialised!

I couldn’t move since one of the swords held my leg in place, but my hands were free and that was all I needed!

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Countless lightning swords flew towards me but all of them I cut down without hesitation. It was a full five minutes before they were all destroyed and the formation dimmed before it started to glow once more for an even greater assault!

I’m not into THAT shit!

‘Earth Severance!’

I brought down the sabre with a crushing strike on the ground!

Boom!

A chasmic crack ran through the room, destroying the formations and causing them to explode!

Shu!

I soon found Qin Ling and Xiannu Liang by my side as soon as Pebbles let them go.

“What happened!?” Two of them asked at the same time.

“I’m not sure,” I told them. “The minute I was dragged into the room, my cultivation technique’s danger sense activated and I–”

“Oooh can I get that too!?” Qin Ling excitedly asked with a raise of her hand. She had it up for like a good five seconds before she slowly lowered it with a slightly reddened face. She probably realised that now wasn’t the best time for that.

“As I was saying, as soon as I realised I was in danger I acted on it, but I guess my somatic essence strength leaves much to be desired.”

As soon as I said that, I ripped the sword from my leg allowing a geyser of blood to follow. It quickly stopped though, as my body’s regenerative abilities already kicked in. Normally, lightning’s destructive energy would render such a thing null, but as it is normal lightning, my natural resistance against it must have allowed me to circumvent that.

Neat.

“I guess these rooms have their own traps, so we need to be careful,” I told them as I looked around. Then something very, very, very telling caught my eye.

“Hey Jiancheng Shu, how much of that Starry Thunder Black Meteorite do you need?”

He just came in with Pebbles when I asked this. “Well, to account for beta tests, and the inevitable explosions a novice like myself will incur, I would say I need about three thousand, seven hundred and ninety jin.”

“Well, it just so happens I’ve located three thousand seven hundred and ninety jins of Starry Thunder Black Meteorite in over yonder corner.”

We all turned our heads to the corner of the room to see a giant slab of black metal with fine white dots peppered all over it like stars on a moonless night flickering with lightning and not thunder -_-

With the knowledge that cultivators have the naming sense of a fourteen-year-old who has embraced their edge lord heritage, who wants to bet that that’s the Starry Thunder Black Meteorite?
