GHML - Chapter 5.1: How Could There Be Such A Despicable Man! (1)
“It’s ok even if you tear it up,” Shang Jing challenged. But that was all to it. He immediately tightened his underwear waistband and took a step back. “It was bought by you anyway, I won’t be heartbroken over it.”
Shang Jing’s fearless appearance agitated He Jiang, his temples trobbed.
Taking advantage of his injury to flirt with me? I had tolerated everything up till now since it had been lip service. Now he’s taking it to the next level and executing it?
He Jiang slowly shifted his gaze from Shang Jing’s extremely fair legs to his not-so-smart head. His cold gaze was like a sharp knife slicing through Shang Jing’s legs, leaving goosebumps everywhere it touched.
Could he really be so perverted as to really rip my underwear into pieces?
Should I back off first? It’s more important to keep my underwear intact.
He Jiang let out a deep sigh.
It’s not worth fighting someone who is out of his mind.
He released his grip on Shang Jing. However, it did not mean there was no consequence for provoking him. “Still so energetic?”
Shang Jing frowned. Sensing something ominous, he immediately denied, “Nope, I’m ready to go to bed.”
But He Jiang was not ready to let him go. He grabbed his arm and pulled him back. With a smirk, he said, “Since you’re so energetic, you should do something to work your body. It will also help with your recovery.”
“You can’t be staying here for free, right? From tomorrow onwards, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the house, cooking three meals a day and watering the plants in the yard.”
Shang Jing froze up.
It’s finally here… I knew it, the diary was right. Am I going to cook and clean for He Jiang again?
Considering his current predicament, Shang Jing decided to leave things be for the time being. He nodded obediently. “I’ll try.”
He Jiang is already suspicious of me, I should not act too differently from how I was previously.
It will be better for me to take things slow and wait for him to lower his guard.
Dang it. I should have taken a video of that detestable face of his just now for the netizens to see.
He Jiang’s eyebrows shot up. He had not expected Shang Jing to agree.
As Shang Jing darted back to his room, He Jiang took a final look at his bouncy bottom before slipping his phone out from his pocket to text Lin Lin the former’s underwear size, and hopping back into the shower.
It had merely been half an hour since he last showered but a cold shower was necessary to calm the rising heat in him.
To be woken up in the middle of the night by Shang Jing to watch his underwear parade…
He Jiang pushed his damp hair back.
Am I the one going crazy or him?!
Lin Lin was about to turn in when she received the text from He Jiang. Looking at the content, then the time… It was truly a challenge for one to not overthink the situation.
Ah, it’s just some fun between husbands. Whether they want to buy a larger size or not, as an outsider, I should just go along with it.
7AM the next morning, Lin Lin arrived at the house with eight sets of seasonal clothing for Shang Jing. She rang the doorbell.
However, even after three rings, there was still no reaction from behind the door.
Lin Lin habitually fished He Jiang’s house key out from her pocket to open the door but stopped halfway. Since He Jiang was no longer living alone, it would be better for her to give him a call to notify him of her presence before entering.
But her considerations had not been reciprocated.
An irritated He Jiang who was roused from his sleep: “Why didn’t you come in straight?”
Lin Lin: “... I’ve thought too much.”
He Jiang choked on her reply and nonchalantly took over the clothes from Lin Lin. There were a few sets of short sleeve tracksuits.
It’s already September. To still wear such revealing clothes, he is definitely doing it on purpose.
Lin Lin: “Is there anything else you need?”
He Jiang had never taken care of anyone before and was unsure. He pinched his nose bridge. “No idea. He’s not awake yet. I’ll let you know if he needs anything else.”
Lin Lin was speechless. She had rang the doorbell for ten whole minutes and not managed to wake either of them up. “Fine, I’ll be on my way. The filming at the beach has concluded. The filming team will take a day to set up the equipment in the next filming location. Take care and have a good rest, don’t exhaust yourself.”
He Jiang listened absentmindedly. What could he exhaust himself with?
