Horror Game Designer Chapter 529: Deleted Files

Wang Pingan sounded like a child. He was like a kid who was trapped in a dream and had never left.

“I will find your brother.” Gao Ming had obtained enough clues. Then, he left the old folk’s home.

“Hey!” The staff chased after him. After he got close, he took out a cigarette, “Did you find out anything?”

Gao Ming didn’t answer instantly but looked at the man.

The man handed the cigarette to Gao Ming. He pointed at the black band Gao Ming wore, “Don’t be so serious. This is not your first examination. When can you bring that mad old man away with you? He has already signed the consent form.”

The worker clearly had misunderstood something. He thought Gao Ming was from Immortal Pharma. The information he revealed was horrifying. Based on Gao Ming’s understanding of Wang Pingan, he wouldn’t sign any consent form.

“Don’t ask anything you shouldn’t.” Gao Ming had a sense of desperation. Immortal Pharma might go after Wang Pingan for a nightmare that existed in the past.

“Understood. It’s my fault.” The man quickly apologised. After Gao Ming left, the man rolled his eyes and cursed under his breath.

Considering he had booked a meeting with Tang Qing’s sister, Gao Ming rushed home after leaving the place. He had gained a huge reward. He slowly digested the things he obtained from Wang Pingan. Gao Ming reached home and took out his key. He was about to open the door when he noticed the door was left slightly ajar.

“Is Liu Yi already home?” Gao Ming became alert and took a step back. His eyes sharpened.

“Do you finally feel fear?” An unfamiliar female voice came from the room. “If I wanted to hurt you, you would have died already.”

Gao Ming slowly opened the door and looked into the room. She was tall and pretty. She wore a grey shirt and sat on the couch. Fa Cai curled up on her legs. It was scared, but it didn’t dare to move. It meowed at Gao Ming as if asking for help. The woman radiated a relaxing presence like this was her home. It was hard to stay on guard around her.

“Are you… Tang Ling?” Gao Ming was uncertain. In his mind, Tang Qing was at least a middle-aged woman with signs of age on her face, but the woman before him looked as young as Liu Yi.

“Has No. 2 given the walkie-talkie to you?” The woman asked directly, “You can answer me without worry. I’ve inspected this building. No third person will listen in.”

Gao Ming nodded. He had to admit that he had underestimated Tang Ling. This woman’s presence was so much stronger than Tang Qing. She sat there and handled everything.

“What an interesting kid. I saw how you scared the other visitors at Shanghai Mental Hospital. It was interesting, like you had experienced those things.” Tang Qing said casually, but every word was measured.

“Don’t worry. We are natural allies, or else I wouldn’t have taken such a big risk to come and see you.” Tang Qing stretched lazily. Her body could be described as perfect. It didn’t look natural. “My useless younger brother gave me your files, and I used my level 5 access to examine them further. I realised something interesting. Your files have been modified. Even with my access, I can only see your modified details.”

“What do you mean?” Gao Ming entered the room and closed the door.

“You suffered great injuries and saved your students from the bus. In the end, you went into a coma. Immortal Pharma used everything to save you. This was an excuse given by Immortal Pharma to the media. It is not the truth.” Tang Ling rubbed Fa Cai’s little head, “You were so injured that Immortal Pharma didn’t think you’d survive. Therefore, they conducted illegal experiments on you. You were their test subject. However, to everyone’s surprise, after all the horrible things they had done to you, you somehow woke up.”

“What experiments did they conduct on me?”

“That is the crux of the issue. I don’t know. If you want to know the truth, you might need to ask your main physician or someone who can interact with your files daily.” Tang Qing grabbed the cat by its neck. She didn’t show any concern for another life.

“Xuan Wen?”
“That doctor is not simple. I found that out after some digging. She not only ruined your original file but also modified the files of twelve other patients. I don’t know if this is her own intention or an order from the higher-ups.” Tang Ling moved her eyes from Fa Cai to Gao Ming, “No matter the case, this can only prove one thing. The nightmare you’ve experienced is beyond Immortal Pharma’s control. Everyone, including your doctor, is surprised by your awakening.

“You might not understand how scary Immortal Pharma is. Once they know you are out of their control, they have many ways that can make you disappear. Then, you’ll be trapped in their dark labs to be tested horribly. Your body will be cut into pieces. Your fate will be worse than those patients who have their brains in a jar.

“The only good news is your doctor hasn’t reported you to her superior. She has chosen to hide this for some reason.”

Tang Ling put down the cat. “Now that you have a basic understanding of your situation, do you still have the guts to challenge the brain realm game development department of Immortal Pharma?”

Tang Qing looked at Gao Ming mockingly. However, she didn’t see any trace of fear or hesitation on his face.

“You said we are natural allies. Is that because you’ve betrayed Immortal Pharma?” Gao Ming sat on the other side of the couch.

“Looks like No. 2 has told you many things. What a busybody.” Tang Qing was still calm. “I have never betrayed Immortal Pharma. It was the higher-ups who had turned against Immortal Pharma’s initial ideal. I can’t tell you more. If I do, something implanted inside me will notify the higher-ups instantly.”
