"Did Tarnished Wind redeem it?" The cries of the players in the plaza momentarily stunned South Lake. Then, confusion appeared on his face as he muttered, "But that shouldn't be possible! Red-Tailed Dragon should still be short of several million Undying Souls! Even if it raised its purchase price to 30,000 Star Coins, there's no way it can collect so many so quickly!"

"Could Tarnished Wind have reached an agreement with the other powers?" Apocalypse wondered, his expression turning ugly.

Several million Undying Souls might not be a significant amount, but it was by no means little, either. There was no way Red-Tailed Dragon could get such an amount through the various powers' members alone. The only explanation was that it had purchased the Undying Souls in the possession of the other pseudo-apex powers. However, if that were the case, it would be the worst possible news for Holy Dragon Spear.

Holy Dragon Spear had expended considerable resources and Star Coins to obtain the Undying Souls it currently possessed. If these Undying Souls ended up becoming useless, the adventurer team would suffer severe losses.

"That shouldn't be the case," South Lake said firmly, shaking his head. "If Tarnished Wind decided to accept the other powers' conditions, Red-Tailed Dragon wouldn't have needed to announce it was raising its purchase price. The other powers would have gladly sold their Undying Souls at the previous price."

"Tarnished Wind must have put a lot of work into keeping his actions a secret to finish collecting the remaining Undying Souls without the other powers noticing," Apocalypse sighed.

Unlike Holy Dragon Spear and Red-Tailed Dragon, the other pseudo-apex powers had long since given up on competing for the Flame God Set. To dispose of the Undying Souls in their possession, they kept a very close eye on the Undying Souls Holy Dragon Spear and Red-Tailed Dragon possessed. This was so they could ensure neither power could collect the necessary 50 million Undying Souls.

Yet, Tarnished Wind had collected 50 million
