The supports shook their heads one after another. Most people who awakened as supports were women, and these young women were clearly terrified of Lin Moyu's Skeletal Warrior. There was no chance they'd party up with him.

"Teacher Lu, I also want to get into Xiajing Academy." Lin Moyu said calmly.

His meaning was clear: he didn't want to form a party. He wanted to go solo.

Lu Yun was taken aback, "Do you realize how difficult it is to get admitted into Xiajing Academy?"

Lin Moyu nodded confidently, "I believe in myself."

Seeing that Lin Moyu's mind was made up, Lu Yun relented, "I hope you succeed."

To even qualify for Xiajing Academy, the minimum requirement was reaching level 12. For better odds, level 15 was preferred. When Lin Mohan was admitted last year, she was at level 16. Reaching level 12 in just one week was challenging, and level 15 even more so. In the novice dungeon, the highest-level monsters were only at level 8, making it practically impossible to reach level 12 there. The wilderness, while offering higher-level monsters, was far too dangerous for novices; venturing there was almost suicidal.

Aside from leveling up, there were other conditions for admission, the details of which would only be revealed during the great examination.

Following Lu Yun's instructions, several combat class students paired with support class students, forming parties of two to three people. Gao Yang chose a Prophet, a support class capable of providing status buffs and healing—a good choice for a Healer.

Once the parties were formed, the school distributed equipment based on each student's class.

"I look cool!" Gao Yang exclaimed, brandishing his iron sword and shield with a self-important grin.

Lin Moyu gave no response, neither agreeing nor declining. Xia Xue, undeterred, snorted and tilted her head, showing off her fair, slender neck.

"I'll take your silence as agreement." She declared before entering the dungeon.

Lin Moyu smiled slightly. "What a competitive spirit." He mused and followed her inside.

The novice dungeon was a sprawling grassland with half-meter-tall verdant grass. Smaller monsters lurked within, making them difficult to spot. The monster density was low, making it relatively safe but also frustrating—finding monsters took more time than defeating them. The dungeon's purpose was to help novices acclimate to combat.

Lin Moyu summoned four Skeletal Warriors and commanded, "Go hunt monsters."

The Skeletal Warriors immediately darted off in four different directions. As they ran, an eerie aura spread from them, the sound of their bones clicking together echoing faintly.

"So fast!" Lin Moyu exclaimed in surprise, impressed by their speed.

Thanks to their agility attribute of 150 agility points, the Skeletal Warriors' running speed was very fast, covering dozens of meters in an instant. Just then, a Skeletal Warrior brandished its shabby blade.

Initially, Lin Moyu had planned to stay in the novice dungeon for two days to reach level 8 before moving on. Now, he realized that two days might be too long.

He activated his skill, summoning another Iron Skeletal Warrior to join the hunt. Then, he sat down to meditate. Half an hour later, he had his first level-up.

According to his knowledge, as the skill's level rose, the attributes of the summons should increase accordingly. With his spirit force fully restored from the level-up, Lin Moyu activated his skill and summoned another Iron Skeletal Warrior.

He quickly noticed a difference. Summoning a level 2 Skeletal Warrior required more spirit force than summoning a level 1 Skeletal Warrior—the cost increased from 10 to 15 points. Despite still being at the iron rank, the level 2 Skeletal Warrior had a more prominent, polished appearance and showcased fewer cracks.
