Necromancer: I Am A Disaster Chapter 32 - Did Maggots Eat Your Brain?

As the sun rose, a new day dawned on the earth. A party soon arrived at the dungeon entrance.

"Huh, why is no one here?"

"It was bustling before."

"Strange, where did everyone go?"

Confused, the group exchanged puzzled looks but didn’t dwell on it. They selected ordinary rank difficulty and entered the dungeon.

As more adventurers arrived, the dungeon entrance buzzed with activity once again. After the cooldown passed, Lin Moyu re-entered the dungeon.

"What a strange guy."

"So cold, he didn’t say a word."

"That summon of his is pretty cool. A bit creepy, but definitely impressive."

"Cool doesn’t matter. He treats us like air."

"I saw him go in alone. Looks like he’s grinding solo."

...

"It's Lin Moyu!" From a distance, Xia Xue spotted Lin Moyu entering the dungeon alone. His Skeletal Warrior stood out beside him.

In the entire world, only Lin Moyu possessed such a summon. Necromancer was a unique class—only one person could have this class at a time.

"He’s soloing again…" Xia Xue’s gaze turned complicated, and she murmured, biting her lower lip.

She had just reached level 10 that day and headed straight to the dungeon. Despite being only level 10, her superior class, Elemental Mage, made it easy to find a party. The Xihai Mine dungeon was only level 14 dungeon, so it wasn’t particularly difficult—especially at ordinary rank.

However, going solo in the dungeon wouldn’t be easy for her. Yet, Lin Moyu was once again able to go solo, surpassing her yet again.

"I won’t lose to you. Just wait." Xia Xue’s eyes flashed with defiance, and she muttered as she quickly joined a party and entered the dungeon.

Meanwhile, Lin Moyu swept through the nightmare rank dungeon with ease. After leveling up the previous day, his skeletal army had grown to 68. With 12 hours of meditation, his spirit was fully restored. Upon entering the dungeon, he summoned four more Skeletal Warriors, bringing the total to 72—an impressive force.

With this massive army, his efficiency skyrocketed. The Skeletal Warriors demolished everything in their path, and thanks to Lin Moyu’s familiarity with the dungeon, his progress was faster than ever.

After just 45 minutes, Lin Moyu encountered an old friend, "Wake up."

The Goblin King awoke to the relentless strikes of the Skeletal Warriors. By the time it managed to stand, over half of its health was already gone. Flames erupted from its mouth, but before it could fully unleash its attack, Soul Blaze rained down, interrupting its skill.

In just 30 seconds, the Goblin King crumbled to the ground, defeated once again.

There were drops from the Goblin King, much like before. Lin Moyu gave them a brief glance before storing them in his storage space.

The Goblin King’s eyes, filled with frustration and unwillingness, seemed to recognize him.

Lin Moyu smiled faintly, "Don’t be upset. In a few days, I won’t be coming back. You’re going to die regardless. Does it really matter who kills you?" He continued, speaking softly as if the Goblin King could understand him, "Besides, if it's me, it'll be quicker, and you’ll suffer less. I don’t enjoy this either, but I need to level up."

As expected, Lin Moyu didn't manage to level up this time. He was still 20% away from reaching level 14, but he'd get there on his next run.

After exiting the dungeon, he quickly left the area. That afternoon, a group from the Dynasty Guild arrived at the dungeon entrance. The junior guild master Wang Zihao and the team that had accompanied him yesterday were absent. This time, they weren’t there to raid the dungeon, but to investigate what had happened the day before.

Zhao Ji and the dozen-plus people who had been with him had vanished without a trace. The other people present at the time had also disappeared as if they had never been there.

The Dynasty Guild, however, exercised restraint this time, refraining from any excessive behavior. When they questioned others, they were polite, but all they got were the same responses: ‘I don’t know.’

Since everyone at the dungeon today had only just arrived, no one knew what had transpired the day before. After a long investigation, the Dynasty Guild left with little information.

Word eventually spread about the Dynasty Guild sealing off the dungeon the previous day, sparking widespread protest. The Class User Association issued a stern warning to the guild, making it clear that such behavior wouldn’t be tolerated. Dungeons were a resource for all of humanity, not something any guild could claim or seal off, even for an hour.

At the Dynasty Guild’s headquarters, Guild Master Wang Wei angrily berated Wang Zihao, "Did maggots eat your brain? What made you think sealing off the dungeon was a good idea? Do you think Dynasty Guild can do whatever it wants? That the Shenxia Empire and Class User Association are just for show? If you have a death wish, go die alone. Don’t drag the entire Dynasty Guild down with you! For the next few days, stay in the guild. Your level’s already high enough. Just wait quietly for the great examination."

Wang Zihao, head lowered, kept silent as his father scolded him. After holding back for a while, he finally asked, "What about Zhao Ji and the others?"

"I have already dispatched someone to investigate. This situation, where so many people have vanished, is beyond what you can handle. Don’t concern yourself with it." Wang Wei said dismissively, waving his son away.

At level 16, Wang Zihao was already well-positioned to enter Xiajing Academy, so being under house arrest for a few days wouldn’t significantly impact his future.
