Necromancer: I Am A Disaster Chapter 24 - Elite Leader Mine Wolf King

After crossing the maze-like tunnels, Lin Moyu reached the latter half of the dungeon. Before him stretched a massive, 1,000-meter-long tunnel. On both sides were rooms, each sealed with huge iron gates that resembled prison cells. From inside came the sound of beasts, their cries echoing through the cavern, blending with the stench of blood and other foul odors in the air.

A massive, wolf-like creature blocked the path ahead. Even lying down, it stood over a meter tall, and if it rose, it would tower above three meters. Its body stretched over five meters in length.

Lin Moyu’s Detection spell fell on the monster like a gentle breeze.

[Mine Wolf King (elite leader)]

[Level: 15]

[Strength: 2,000]

[Agility: 2,000]

[Spirit: 1,000]

[Physique: 2,500]

[Skills: Roar]

This was Lin Moyu’s first encounter with a leader rank monster—and an elite one at that. While it couldn’t match his Skeletal Warriors in raw attributes, it was significantly stronger than any other monster he’d faced.

“If the leader’s attributes are this high, then the dungeon boss must be even stronger.” Lin Moyu thought, “But it shouldn’t exceed the attributes of the Skeletal Warriors. Otherwise, this dungeon would be impossible to clear.”

For a nightmare rank dungeon, this degree of difficulty was typical. Generally, class users attempting to clear a nightmare rank dungeon would need to be of higher level than the dungeon itself. A well-equipped elite party of five, averaging level 17 or level 18, would be necessary. Solo attempts were unheard of—except for Lin Moyu, who was raiding the dungeon at level 10.

The Mine Wolf King stirred awake, disturbed by Lin Moyu's Detection spell. Slowly, it rose to its full height, towering over five meters. Lin Moyu and his Skeletal Warriors weren't even as tall as its legs. The wolf’s blood-red eyes locked onto him, radiating a bloodthirsty aura, emitting an overwhelming sense of oppression.

"Advance!" Lin Moyu commanded.

The 56 Skeletal Warriors surged forward, their speed blinding. In response, the Mine Wolf King roared, unleashing its skill. A powerful shockwave burst from its mouth, flinging more than 30 of the skeletons charging at the front away. The walls shook, dislodging chunks of rock.

Lin Moyu, standing tens of meters away, felt the shockwave ripple through the air. A flicker of surprise crossed his face. It was his first time seeing his Skeletal Warriors tossed aside like that. The skill was clearly a group attack with a knockback effect.

However, his expression remained calm. He sensed that the actual damage was minimal. With a physique of 3,400, the Skeletal Warriors’ defense was quite formidable.

The skeletons swiftly rose and charged at the Mine Wolf King once more. Any slight cracks caused by the shockwave closed and vanished in the blink of an eye, their soul fire burning as fiercely as ever.

"Use your skill!" Lin Moyu ordered.

Skill: Berserk Strike!

The Skeletal Warriors that were not flung away reached the Mine Wolf King and brandished their blades, each glimmering with a red hue. As they struck, blood splattered and skin and flesh were torn apart, leaving bone-deep gashes in their wake. The Mine Wolf King howled in agony.

Some of the Skeletal Warriors leaped onto the wolf’s massive body, unleashing their skill with the same crimson shimmer. It was a scene eerily reminiscent of what Lin Moyu witnessed when he awakened his class—the same relentless assault that had brought down a Dragon. But the Mine Wolf King, though fearsome, was neither as large nor as powerful as that Dragon. The skeletons, with their superior combat power, inflicted devastating damage with each strike.

The beast rolled on the ground, smashing its huge frame into the rock walls in a desperate attempt to shake off the Skeletal Warriors clinging to its body. But the skeletons held on tightly, refusing to be thrown off. Those on the ground pursued it without mercy, hacking at its legs relentlessly, each blade landing with a metallic ring as it struck bone. The wolf's howls grew more desperate.

In a frenzy, the Mine Wolf King slammed its claws into the Skeletal Warriors, unleashing a massive force that knocked them aside. Yet they weren't seriously injured and quickly regrouped, charging back into the fray. The wolf tried to bite them, but its teeth shattered on their sturdy frames. With a physique of 3,400 points, the Skeletal Warriors were incredibly sturdy.

"What's the point of having a large body? It will die all the same." Lin Moyu observed as he watched the scene unfold.

A massive body might bring a sense of oppression and intimidation, but it also presented a glaring weakness. Without a strong enough defense, it couldn't withstand the Skeletal Warriors' attacks. The outcome inevitable.

Within moments, the Mine Wolf King was on the verge of death.

Skill: Roar!

The Mine Wolf King unleashed its skill again, pushing it to the limit. A powerful shockwave surged outward, hurling every Skeletal Warrior on its body into the air, along with those nearby.

"The skill’s power is pretty average, but its knockback effect is impressive." Lin Moyu observed, watching his skeletons fly through the air with an expressionless face. Despite the dramatic display, he knew the damage was minimal.

Sure enough, after landing, the Skeletal Warriors quickly rolled to their feet and charged at the Mine Wolf King once more. However, the beast, now limping and battered, suddenly turned and fled deeper into the tunnel, trying to escape.

"It’s running?" Lin Moyu was surprised.
