Ning Yiyi and the three others stood frozen in shock.

Her eyes widened, mouth slightly agape, unable to believe what she was seeing. Her expression was almost... cute. This was her first time witnessing the power of Lin Moyu's Skeletal Warriors. They were only level 10, with cracked bones and worn-out weapons, looking quite fragile. Yet, they were terrifyingly powerful.

The Mage’s level 20 skill couldn’t even scratch them. The Archer’s Triple Shot and the Knight’s Charge were equally ineffective. These were supposed to be level 10 summons? They were far too strong.

And their numbers…

Flames flickered in the darkness as Skeletal Warriors appeared without warning, surrounding the trio. Lin Moyu, eyes filled with a cold, murderous intent, silently walked back to Ning Yiyi’s side.

"Kill them!" He commanded.

The Skeletal Warriors sprang into action.

The Mage’s face paled. He hastily summoned a protective energy shield around him—a signature Mage skill called Shield. The stronger the Mage and the higher the level of the skill, the stronger the Shield, with high-level Mages reportedly being able to withstanding even forbidden spells unscathed.

The Mage had low agility, his movement speed relatively slow, specially when compared to the nimble Archer class. Additionally, being surrounded by Skeletal Warriors, there was now even less room for him to evade.

A Skeletal Warrior struck the Shield with its blade, causing it to warp violently. The Mage’s face drained of color; a single strike had nearly shattered his shield. What kind of monsters were these?

There was no time to think. The blade of another Skeletal Warrior fell, shattering the Shield into countless sparks of light.

Skill: Fire Ring of Repulsion!

The Mage cast another skill, blasting the skeletons more than a dozen meters away. But before he could celebrate, two more Skeletal Warriors lunged at him, leaving no time for another spell. A blade flashed, and his head was severed from his body. In mere seconds, the Mage was dead.
