Necromancer: I Am A Disaster Chapter 19 - First Time Killing People; A Clean Job

Ning Yiyi and the three others stood frozen in shock.

Her eyes widened, mouth slightly agape, unable to believe what she was seeing. Her expression was almost... cute. This was her first time witnessing the power of Lin Moyu's Skeletal Warriors. They were only level 10, with cracked bones and worn-out weapons, looking quite fragile. Yet, they were terrifyingly powerful.

The Mage’s level 20 skill couldn’t even scratch them. The Archer’s Triple Shot and the Knight’s Charge were equally ineffective. These were supposed to be level 10 summons? They were far too strong.

And their numbers…

Flames flickered in the darkness as Skeletal Warriors appeared without warning, surrounding the trio. Lin Moyu, eyes filled with a cold, murderous intent, silently walked back to Ning Yiyi’s side.

"Kill them!" He commanded.

The Skeletal Warriors sprang into action.

The Mage’s face paled. He hastily summoned a protective energy shield around him—a signature Mage skill called Shield. The stronger the Mage and the higher the level of the skill, the stronger the Shield, with high-level Mages reportedly being able to withstanding even forbidden spells unscathed.

The Mage had low agility, his movement speed relatively slow, specially when compared to the nimble Archer class. Additionally, being surrounded by Skeletal Warriors, there was now even less room for him to evade.

A Skeletal Warrior struck the Shield with its blade, causing it to warp violently. The Mage’s face drained of color; a single strike had nearly shattered his shield. What kind of monsters were these?

There was no time to think. The blade of another Skeletal Warrior fell, shattering the Shield into countless sparks of light.

Skill: Fire Ring of Repulsion!

The Mage cast another skill, blasting the skeletons more than a dozen meters away. But before he could celebrate, two more Skeletal Warriors lunged at him, leaving no time for another spell. A blade flashed, and his head was severed from his body. In mere seconds, the Mage was dead.

Meanwhile, the Archer was in a desperate fight for his life, trying to outrun the Skeletal Warriors. Though more agile than the Mage, he was nowhere near as fast as his opponent, whose agility was at 3,000. As the skeletons closed in, his evasive skills proved futile, leaving him with less and less room to maneuver.

The Knight, on the other hand, was faring better. He glowed like a beacon, repeatedly using Charge to escape. His defense was formidable, even stronger than the Mage's Shield. No matter how hard the Skeletal Warriors struck, they couldn’t harm him.

"That's Extreme Defense. The Knight has unexpectedly mastered this skill." Lin Moyu noted, recalling the name of the skill.

Extreme Defense was a core skill of the Knight class that could temporarily boost a Knight’s defense to extraordinary levels. In fact, a level 20 Knight with Extreme Defense could withstand a level 40 Mage’s attacks—albeit only briefly. However, learning this skill wasn’t easy without the right skill book, and even then, the chances were slim.

The Knight, terrified by the deaths of his companions, ran for his life. If only he had known how deadly these Skeletal Warriors were, he would never have risked his life for an Intermediate Skill Scroll.

“Use your skill! Block him! Don’t let him escape.” Lin Moyu ordered.

He wasn’t going to let the Knight get away. This needed to be a clean job.

The blades of the Skeletal Warriors began to glow red.

Skill: Berserk Strike!

The skill unleashed damage equal to 200% of the user's strength. With a strength attribute of 3,000, each Skeletal Warrior could deal double damage.

"They can even use skills?" The Knight’s heart sank.

The Skeletal Warriors were terrifying enough, but their skill made them truly monstrous. A red glow flashed as the first strike landed, and the Knight's protective light dimmed significantly. Then came a second strike, followed by a third.

Extreme Defense lasted 1 minute, but only if it wasn’t under constant assault. The relentless attacks from the Skeletal Warriors rapidly drained its duration.

More skeletons closed in, cutting off his escape. The situation was hopeless. After a dozen seconds, the Knight was overwhelmed, his body hacked to pieces.

"When you take action, show no mercy." Lin Moyu remembered his sister’s advice. He had followed it to the letter.

"They’re dead?" Ning Yiyi finally whispered, still in shock.

The entire battle had lasted only about 20 seconds. The three were already dead, yet Lin Moyu hadn’t even moved from his spot.

Lin Moyu nodded. Yes, they were dead.

The Skeletal Warriors returned, carrying the spoils of battle—loot from the fallen.

When a class user died, the contents of their storage space would drop.
