On the other hand, Roel remained perfectly calm.
Time ticked by with the two pairs of eyes locked on each other. Indescribable nervousness and tension suffused the air. The guards who had regained their senses kept their vigilance up while Roel quietly waited for the enemy to make a move.
Flooding Death could be considered as a highly condensed mass of curses, a type of mana calamity unique to the Sia Continent. It could travel like tidal waves or fleeting clouds, depending on the form it decided to assume.
There were two reasons why Roel wasn’t making the first move. He didn’t want to confront the enemy in the sky, and he wanted to see what the latter was capable of.
From his previous encounters, he knew that the Six Calamities possessed sentience. In fact, that was the reason why Flooding Death was in front of him right now.
