"Snake King? Oh, how mighty you are!" the Demon Sovereign said.

"No, no, please! Please forgive me, Demon Sovereign. It's just a personal grudge between Wang Ke and me! Please pardon my blunder; I didn't know you were here!" the monster begged in fear.

"Personal grudge? Heh, Wang Ke is the Divine Dragon Branch Lord; everything in Divine Dragon Island is under his command; you are just a pet we keep there. You dared to attack your superior, and you dare call it a personal grudge?" their leader questioned calmly.

Wang Ke was surprised. "Demon Sovereign, you mean I have authority over the Snake King? He’s my subordinate?"

"Hmm? You didn't know?" The Demon Sovereign looked at Wang Ke.

"I... I didn't! No one told me this!" Wang Ke was caught by surprise.

"I beg your mercy, please forgive me, Demon Sovereign! I lost myself just now because Wang Ke shattered my inner core last time; I was blinded by anger!" The reptile was as close to the ground as he could to show repentance.

"Wang Ke shattered your inner core?" their leader asked.

"Bullsh*t! When did I shatter your inner core? Spit it out and let me see! Don't try to falsely accuse me!" Wang Ke demanded in anger.

"Spit it out!" the Demon Sovereign commanded sternly.

The Snake King's face froze. Spit it out? I... Darn it...! I didn't mean that it happened just now!

Still, the monster would not dare cross his leader’s orders; he fearfully spat out the translucent inner core.

The object had a pristine look. It didn’t release any poisonous gas as it was being controlled by the reptile, who then made it levitate in front of Wang Ke and the Demon Sovereign.

After some inspection, Wang Ke said, "Your inner core is in perfect condition!"

It's been one and a half years since I started IGK, and I think it's safe to say now that it's not doing well.
