After saying those two words, Sheng Xian turned towards the car.

Lu Jingyan stood there in a daze for a few seconds before chasing behind him, “Where did you say we are going?”

Sheng Xian opened the car door, his icy tone cutting her off, “Get into the car.”

“What did you say just now? I didn’t hear you clearly. Could you repeat?”

Sheng Xian looked annoyed, prepared to close the car door.

Lu Jigyan quickly climbed into the car and fastened her seatbelt. She turned and smiled at Sheng Xian, “Can you tell me now?”

“Pang–” The car doors slammed shut.

Lu Jingyan watched as he walked to the other end emotionlessly and couldn’t help pouting, “He’s just pretending to be dignified and reserved…”

The driver seat door was pulled open and Sheng Xian entered the car.

Lu Jingyan immediately stopped her nagging, she tilted her head and smiled at him, “Brother, are you bringing me home?”

Sheng Xian started the car emotionlessly and accelerated out of the neighborhood.

Accustomed to his poker face, Lu Jingyan continued ramling, “What do you intend to do by bringing me home?”

“……”

“I will cooperate with anything you want.”

“Besides, it’s Saturday tomorrow, I don’t have to work.”

The car suddenly halted.

Lu Jingyan’s body fell forward momentarily.

Once she was stable, she realised they had stopped in the middle of the road, and Sheng Xian was looking at her with an icy gaze, seemingly asking if she wanted to be tossed out.

Sheng Xian took a last look at her before stepping back onto the accelerator.
