I'll Still Love You Tomorrow Chapter 32: I Like My Own Food

Lu Jingyan hadn’t felt much initially but the sharp pain when the alcohol touched her skin made her aware of her injury.

It must have been from Bo Mu.

She didn’t feel pain at all.

It was definitely a small cut.

But he noticed it.

Lu Jingyan looked at the ceiling blankly, trying to process the situation. When she finally returned to her senses, Sheng Xian had already thrown the alcohol swab into the bin and was pasting a bandaid on her neck gently.

His finger scraped her skin, sending a wave of awareness through her, causing her to duck her head instinctively.

His calm voice came from above her, “I told you to stop moving.”

She couldn’t help looking up.

Before she could see his face, his hand landed on her head, keeping her moving head stationary.

“You’re just like a kid.”

He held a bandaid with another hand and placed it on her neck.

“You move more after I told you not to.”

“……”

He was still speaking calmly. Lu Jingyan wasn’t sure if she was hallucinating but she caught a hint of indulgence.

She opened her mouth but words failed her.

Even the displeasure she felt when he defended Bo Mu had disappeared.

Sheng Xian moved swiftly and his hands were soon off her.

Lu Jingyan glanced at him, and reached out to touch the bandaid.

She could vaguely feel his residual warmth.

Her fingers trembled.

Just then, Sheng Xian turned and looked at her, “Is there any other injury?”

Lu Jingyan’s hand fell from her neck.

She didn’t understand the reason behind her anxiety, and she turned to look out the window as though she had done something wrong.

After a second’s hesitation, she realized he had asked a question, “Oh, I don’t think so.”

Sheng Xian didn’t ask any further.

Lu Jingyan didn’t know what else to say.

After a moment.

He asked, “What caused the fight?”

Lu Jingyan knew that if he had asked Bo Mu the same question, he would have pretended to be innocent, pushing all the blame on her.

But she never intended to tell Sheng Xian her story, yawning lazily as she said, “I didn’t like her face.”

Sheng Xian, “...”

She behaved like a rebellious kid.

Sheng Xian was clearly stumped. He fell silent for a few seconds before saying, “Next time, don’t fight. If you don’t like someone’s face, you can scold them instead.”

Lu Jingyan looked at him in bewilderment, unsure if she had heard him correctly.

“Scolding someone isn’t against the law.”

Lu Jingyan blinked.

“Fighting is against the law.”

“……”

Sheng Xian glanced at Lu Jingyan, she seemed very disinterested in beating someone. “If you really want to hit someone, you can consider letting them make the first move.”

Lu Jingyan straightened, “Why? Will I be able to take less responsibility?”

“That would be hard.” It wasn’t common for Sheng Xian to talk so much. “Judging from your ruthlessness, no one would believe it even if the other party made the first move.”

“……”

Lu Jingyan rolled her eyes, suspecting that he was mocking her.

After ignoring him for a few seconds, she turned towards him, “Do you intend to two-time?”

Sheng Xian, “?”

“You defended her downstairs but came up to tend my wounds, clearly not willing to give up on either one of us.”

“……”

Lu Jingyan smirked, “I’m sorry, I like my own food.”

“……”

Sheng Xian pinched his temples, he fell silent and typed into his phone.

With that, her phone vibrated.

She looked and saw that Sheng Xian had sent her photos.

Bo Mu’s hospital checkup bill.

The compensation he had sent Bo Mu.

And his lawyer fees.

Lu Jingyan blinked, trying to process the photos.

“I wasn’t defending her, I just thought there was a business opportunity.” Sheng Xian found his QR code and passed his phone to her, “I settled the matter downstairs. Since you’re so bored, please make payment.”

“...” Lu Jingyan turned towards him, “I never asked you to settle anything.”

Sheng Xian was unbothered, “Then I’ll get Miss Bo to refund me.”

Lu Jingyan almost cursed.

She stared at him emotionlessly. It wasn’t bad that the matter had been settled, it saved her from untangling herself with Bo Mu any further.

She scanned his QR code and paid.

Sheng Xian spoke faintly, “You underpaid.”

Lu Jingyan did the calculations again and asked, “What did I miss?”

Sheng Xian replied, “My charges are per minute.”

He spoke in an official manner, which infuriated her.

Sheng Xian continued, “I’ll charge you for 20 minutes.”

Lu Jingyan sent another sum over, “It should settle it.”

Sheng Xian nodded and kept his phone.

Lu Jingyan reached her arm out, “Give it to me.”

Sheng Xian looked at her in confusion, “What?”

“The receipt.”
