Typhon roared in anger. The lava around it boiled, spurting into the air and congealing into a titanic whip that the monster brandished.

With a twirl the whip sliced the peak off of a nearby mountain, leaving a smooth angular cross-section that emitted white smoke.

RUMBLE—

The cut-off part began to slide down the mountainside and turned into a terrifying landslide that was falling toward Los Angeles, causing panic to reignite.

“Just its destructive power alone is something modern humanity cannot match. Without supernatural beings, we’re finished!”

The top brass of many countries watching the scene with satellites nervously sucked in deep breaths when they saw it.

Nuclear weapons might seem terrifying, but in fact, there was a limit to their damage. They could, to a limited extent, be controlled and accounted for. And their ability to damage immense natural landscapes like mountains was limited.
