The shadows disappeared. Gao Ming and Zhu Suisui returned to the real world. Rain pattered on their bodies. Zhu Suisui collapsed to the ground. Her nerves finally relaxed. Zhu Suisui looked at Building Four dumbly. Not too long ago, ten investigators gathered there, but only two were left. Everyone had the same training at the centre. Their faces were imprinted on her mind.



“They’re not dead, just lost on the other side of the world.” Gao Ming was a psychiatrist. He knew what Zhu Suisui was thinking instantly. “They will survive in that shadow world. We need to get it together and become stronger to fetch them home.”



Zhu Suisui nodded and looked at Gao Ming with respect. The man was unapproachable, but he was always the first to charge into danger. “We should prepare to return.”



“The devices are still inside the building.” Zhu Suisui tossed the axe into the van and ran into the building to start packing. Half an hour later, Gao Ming led the way with the bike from the centre while Zhu Suisui followed him behind with a van. The two eventually reached the Li San Investigation Centre Division. Before they could get down, many agents surrounded them.



“We’ve lost signal with the black band of Team One’s Vice Leader! We can’t contact the others either. What happened?”



“This is just a Level One Anomaly. Why were so many people involved?”



“Who are you?”



In the chaos, a young man with a sharp aura walked over. He opened the backdoor of the van. When he saw that there was no one else, he stood there silently. The other agents stopped talking.



After a long time, the young man turned to Gao Ming, “I’m Li San Investigator Centre Team One’s Team Leader, Bai Xiao. Bai Qiao is my little sister. What happened to you?”



“The danger rating was mistaken. Min Long Street’s Building Four doesn’t have a Level One Anomaly. It could be Level Two or even Level Three.” Gao Ming didn’t hide it. “In this anomaly, the more afraid you are, the closer you are to death. Your fear wil
