Another World Trip: Journey with My Cat and an Otaku Loli Goddess Chapter 383 - I Found Who You’re Looking For

“Waifu #2 be acting like bae all of a sudden.”

****

Far be it from anyone to ponder why Long Di would equate Xiannu Liang murdering an obese overachiever to acting like bae but as it took place in a cultivation novel, it made sense.

He currently had her in his arms and Qin Ling and the others followed him wordlessly.

Xiannu Liang’s face went red with embarrassment, but she remained silent. She’d be lying if she said she didn’t like it.

“To be honest, I didn’t expect your spear to be that powerful,” said Long Di after a while.

He was truly impressed with her killing power. It should be known that nature-attributed cultivators were not the most adept fighters. Their proficiency leaned more towards healing and other soft skills.

For Xiannu Liang to overpower and kill one of the most powerful disciples of the top regular sects was not expected. He surmised that she would have tired Ren Yanmei out.

“The Emerald Heavens Crying Scarlet Piercing Spear is one of the few killing moves of the Nymph race. Only certain people in our race can use it. I’m not even able to unleash one ten-thousandth of its power. Just using it drained half of my spiritual qi.”

“Just one can drain half of your spiritual qi!?” Qin Ling was surprised to hear this.

Once again, nature-attributed cultivators, or those geared towards healing had far more spiritual qi than the average cultivator. They could have upwards of tens of times more spiritual qi than the average cultivator. Even hundreds of times more spiritual qi weren’t unusual. Considering how special Xiannu Liang is, this could very well be even more exaggerated.

As a result, matchups like these usually boiled down to nature-attributed cultivators tiring out their opponents while focusing on defence and self-healing before claiming victory.

For Xiannu Liang to have an attack in her arsenal that could instantly drain half of her spiritual qi spoke volumes of its power.

Not only that, the version that she fired was not even comparable to one ten-thousandth of its true power. Meaning, that not even ten thousand of her would be able to fire that spear with its full potential unleashed!

Taking such a vast sea of spiritual qi and compressing it into a single killing move, it was no wonder that Ren Yanmei died.

“I’m impressed,” Long Di nodded.

Xiannu Liang blushed under Long Di’s praise. Lord knows the boy was hard to please. You’d think it’d be otherwise but he rarely, if ever, praised people.

“Waifu #2 is worthy of the name!” Pebbles said with his eyes closed.

Baf!

“Stop calling her that you stupid cat or she’ll really believe it!” Mina whacked Pebbles in the head with a rolled-up manga!

“Reeeargh!” Pebbles screeched and jumped on Mina’s head, scratching out her hair in the process!

“Aaaaah!!!” Mina ran around screaming, trying to tear Pebbles out of her hair! “Aaaah! Get out of my hair you stinking cat!”

“Never! You and your fatherless behaviour have gone too far! How dare you cartoonishly slap your grandfather Pebbles in the head with a manga!? And… is that the final volume of AOT!? The one with the ‘smell-like-ass’ ending!? The lion, the witch and the audacity of this bitch! I will beat your ass!”

While Pebbles proceeded to show Mina that his paws were rated E for everyone, Long Di, Qin Ling and Jiancheng Shu continued on their way.

They came to the end of the hallway, which opened into a foyer-like area where many people were running to and fro.

They charged through what appeared to be entrances to other locations. They saw others standing before some of these entrances they wished to enter, but couldn’t because of reasons they were sure to find out sooner or later.

“Incredible!” Qin Ling’s eyes lit up in surprise. Though she read about places, that were far more magical than here, she quickly learned that it couldn’t hold a candle to seeing it for herself.

As the old adage goes, it is better to travel ten thousand miles, than to read ten thousand books.

Long Di gave her a subtle look, but decided not to say anything. Wei Yun wasn’t here and no one else knew she was the Divine Daughter of Ice Phoenix Hall.

Since she’d end up having to be cold and detached upon returning to her sect, he decided it would be best if she enjoyed herself uninhibited, if only just for a little while.

“Get out of the way!” shouted Jiancheng Shu while wearing the most slappable expression of all time.

Jiancheng Shu had finished gauging the power of the people he hung out with versus everyone else. Now that he knew that Long Di was a walking, talking human hack, Qin Ling’s true status would make even an elder and/or sect master shit bricks, Xiannu Liang could effectively body even top disciples of top sects, Mina embodied what it meant to be a living meme and that Master Pebbles was a Giga Cat, he knew he could walk sideways and that no one could stop him.

As of now, he was walking with his head held high and a smile plastered on his face.

“What is this bla–”

Pa!

“Shut up, you racist bigot!”

Long Di saw Jiancheng Shu slapping the shit out of someone and wondered where this was going.

This person was a beast of a man who stood equal height-wise with Jiancheng Shu who was taller than humans on average by a wide margin.

Not only that, his blood qi was startling and the pressure he gave off couldn’t be concealed. There was no doubt that this person was a cut above the rest.

The person who got slapped held his face with an expression of shock and bewilderment on his face. Knowing who he was, he didn’t think there was anyone who would dare to slap him like that.

It was like he couldn’t believe what just happened.

When Long Di really saw who it was, his eyebrow slightly rose.

“Hey, aren’t you–”

“Do you know what you’ve just done!?” the person who got slapped exploded with rage. The slap didn’t hurt him physically, but the mental damage it caused couldn’t be expressed in words.

Jiancheng Shu proceeded to look at this person with his nose. “Do YOU know what you’ve done!? You’ve just offended me! Long Di cancel him for me!”

Long Di disregarded Jiancheng Shu in his entirety for that order and the way it was set up. He instead tried to address the person once more.

“Aren’t you–”

Boom!

Without waiting for Long Di to finish, this person charged towards Jiancheng Shu and punched after him!

There was no spiritual energy in his punch. Instead, it was pure strength and even the ground gave way under his charge. He intended to severely injure Jiancheng Shu before subjecting him to a fate worse than death.

Jiancheng Shu stared at the punch as it approached him without the slightest fear. However, when he saw Long Di staring at him without the slightest intention of saving him, his facade broke almost immediately.

“Aaah! Brother Long Di, save me!” he ran away bawling his eyes out as the punch closed in on him.

Shu!

Boof!

An expression of shock took this person as a small hand held his fist and he found that he could go no further. It was like his hand fount root in a vice grip!

“As I was saying, you’re… Da Black Forest, right?” asked Long Di.

“What the… It’s Black Fortress Guo Da!” he stated when he heard how Long Di butchered his title and name.

That’s right, this was Black Fortress Guo Da who Long Di met back when the latter was with Mad Sword Haoran and Heavenly Sun Noble.

Jiancheng Shu’s arrogance returned just as quickly as it went. “So you think you call me black just because you call yourself Black Fortress!? That’s verbal black face you racist bigot!”

“Racist!? It’s in reference to my sect! Plus, I never called you black! I was about to say ‘blasted’ when you slapped me!”

“Black Fortress Guo Da, did you come here with Mad Sword Haoran, or are you here on your own?” asked Long Di.

“I-It’s you!”

Black Fortress Guo Da saw Long Di and immediately remembered who he was and a smile appeared on his face.

However, he realised he was being too transparent and his smile vanished.

That person was right. Long Di was inside the Relic. Though he was glad he found him, he couldn’t understand how the Elders, Protectors, and Sect Masters on the outside allowed someone of Long Di’s calibre inside.

Relics like these didn’t necessarily have a realm cap on them. Nonetheless, there was an unspoken rule to allow only the younger generation to enter these Relics so that the latter could fight for whatever treasures were within among themselves.

After all, if the older generation went in, it would be a fight amongst the older generation and the casualties among the disciples would be disastrous. That’s why this unspoken rule exists.

But then, what do you do with an outlier like Long Di? Did those elders really let him slip inside, just because of his age?

Was that even fair?

Nobody here could match him.

“No, I came on my own,” Black Fortress Guo slowly retracted his fist. His gaze slowly drifted to Jiancheng Shu looking at him with a sneer and his anger reignited.

“Please forgive him. He’s assuming the role of a victim,” said Long Di.

“Careful Brother Long Di, you could end up being cancelled too,” Jiancheng Shu warned him.

“Only if I allow it,” Long Di told him before he focused his attention back on Black Fortress Guo Da. “I’ll be going now. Sorry for everything that Jiancheng Shu is and did.”

“I’m not apologising! My life matters!” Jiancheng Shu roared.

“It sure does,” said Long Di in a way that sounded both sarcastic and genuine. He then waved bye to Black Fortress Guo Da and went on his way.

“Wait!” Black Fortress Guo Da called out to Long Di.

“My apologies sir, but I’m trying to find someone. We can talk later if we get the chance,” said Long Di without turning back.

Black Fortress Guo Da heard this and responded. “I found who you’re looking for!”

Long Di heard this and his footsteps paused, as did everyone else.

“Come again?”
