The power of the bell exploded and rippling energy tore up the ground as it raged towards Lu Pei!

The onlookers were shocked at the power of this spiritual artefact. For some of them, it was the first time they had even seen one being used!

Soaring Cloud Immortal Sect now had a surplus of wealth in its coffers due to its helping Ice Phoenix Hall find someone with the Cold Heart True Ice Physique.

A piece of wealth was in the form of spiritual artefacts. Every elder in the sect had at least one spiritual artefact whilst the top disciples had the opportunity to get their hands on spiritual artefacts if their sect contribution was high enough.

This Heavenly Retributive Bell was of course one of them. Because of the runes engraved upon it, once activated, each gong that rang out was accompanied by a burst of energy.

It could be used as a wide-area attack while other runes could compress this rippling energy into a concentrated attack form and that was what Elder Ma Lei was using now.

Lu Pei knew that if this attack landed on him head-on, he would be killed outright, no other way about it!

Shu!

A covering of clouds covered Lu Pei’s feet, and he took off at an incredible speed, allowing him to successfully evade the attack.

“He can dodge!?” The still-conscious spectators were surprised to see this. The pressure from this attack wasn’t even aimed at them but they found it difficult to breathe much less move.
