Nevertheless, the ‘sun’ in this place had become fuel and engine for the counterpoise in this place.

Overall? Not gonna lie, we are looking good.

There was little less than a day until Long Di and his group of ragtag ne’er-do-wells arrived at the Ren’duan Dwelling.

They had taken breaks in between to focus on their cultivation all the same while managing to keep the same pace.

Wei Yun was both surprised and jealous when she saw how after Long Di created a dome of lightning to shield himself from prying eyes which in this case was her, the cultivation bases of Xiannu Liang, Violet Flame Noble and Shen Ling all experienced a substantial increase.

Xiannu Liang was a Three Core Martial Adept, but she was now at the peak of that realm ready for a breakthrough at any time, Violet Flame Noble was now a peak Four Core Martial Adept!

The most mysterious to her was Shen Ling. The latter somehow managed to jump her cultivation all the way to the peak of the Cauldron-Forging realm when the latter was only a Second Duan Martial Adept. Even more strange was that her cultivation base appeared incomparably steady, it made no sense!

Wei Yun only managed to break through to the fourth core recently. As a matter of fact, she was still in the early stages.

It should be known that the Five Nobles, barring the bizarre and unpredictable Untethered Monk, were all around the same levels regarding their cultivation. At the time that Wei Yun met Long Di in the Spiritual Bingqi Realm, she was aware that the other three of the Five Nobles were all at her level of strength.

As a matter of fact, after meeting Long Di, she endeavoured to raise her strength ASAP. However, it seemed the other Nobles were on her trail.

It was even worse now, because for some reason, in a short time, Violet Flame Noble was at the peak of the fourth core!

Didn’t this mean that he would be attacking the fifth core soon?

Not only that, the cores Xiannu Liang and Violet Flame Noble boasted were exceptionally pure. This meant that they weren’t just blitzing through the levels willy-nilly. They had access to a large and practically inexhaustible source of already purified spiritual energy and they were using it to full effect.

The Core Formation realm was theoretically, one of the easiest realms to cultivate since one just needed great deals of spiritual energy to form the cores.

Of course, it was only theoretical since the amount of spiritual energy required was monstrous and not easily available to the masses. Wei Yun deduced that Long Di must have something that circumvented this issue or at least equally met it.

Unfortunately, she couldn’t exactly tell what it was since Long Di would just erect a lightning dome to hide it and her heavenly gaze would face a powerful backlash whenever she tried to take a peek.

After a while, she could only just give up. Everyone had their own secrets and Long Di was the same.

“There it is!”

“Stop.”

Hearing Violet Flame Noble, Long Di brought Lord Whiskers to a stop. They came upon a structure that truly tickled the imagination.

It was a giant bronze forge with a massive opening. It was as enormous as any city and boasted a variety of different kinds of fire energy around it.

Runes of all kinds lined the entrance of it and most were dim while the others appeared faded.

One could not look through the opening to see what lay within, either. Continuously swirling energy would dash these hopes. It was like a curtain of fire twisting in on itself.

The pressure it radiated was suffocating and awe-inspiring. Standing before something so magnificent and imposing induced a sense of inferiority.

Violet Flame Noble sneaked a peek at Long Di and was a little disappointed when the latter took it all in without even a ‘How do you do?’

Pebbles the Wondercat was the same. Atop Long Di’s head, he just looked at everything with a lazy expression.

After a while, Violet Flame Noble wondered if he was simply a country bumpkin when he came here for the first time with his own people.

“Wow!”

Exclamations of shock and awe distracted him to see Shen Ling and Xiannu Liang staring at everything with expressions of curiosity and wonder. He couldn’t help but feel pleased when he saw this, as this was exactly what he was like when he came here for the first time.

Wei Yun was much more in control of her emotions than Xiannu Liang and the others. As a disciple of Ice Phoenix Hall, she was used to seeing things like this.

Mina was, as you could expect, reading manga. Long Di had managed to not only draw the climax for the manga she was reading, but he also managed to draw a couple of volumes of FMA that he was gonna give her.

He wanted to relish the moment she got to a particular scene in the manga. For the scene he had in mind, he wondered to himself if he was truly evil.

“Do we go in there?” Xiannu Liang pointed at the giant portal of fire with a touch of fear.

Violet Flame Noble wryly smiled. “No one’s earned the favour of the Ren’duans enough to go near it. No one even knows what it is, really.”

“Isn’t that where they live?” Shen Ling asked in subdued awe.

Violet Flame Noble shook his head. “Not really, you’re not far off, though.”

“What?” Xiannu Liang looked at him in confusion.

He then pointed to the side of the forge. “That’s where we wanna go.”

Barring Wei Yun, Mina and Long Di, when everyone saw where Violet Flame Noble was pointing, their pupils shrank, before—in their minds—disappointment applied for a job as a live-in dorm mother and passed the interview with flying colours.

“You’ve got to be kidding.”
