Everything from before happened much too fast. They weren’t even able to get a clear handle on Long Di’s true strength. With this in mind, they weren’t too rash and tried their best to calm themselves down.
“Which sect is this young one from?” the man asked.
Long Di’s brow furrowed at this question, “Do you truly care?”
The man placed his hands behind him and adopted the air of an experienced senior as he went on. “I don’t think that this young friend with your level of talent is someone unknown. I wonder if I heard the name of your sect before? Maybe we’re contemporaries?”
Though he was doing this to calm himself and everyone else down, there was another reason for this. Long Di’s earlier move shocked them too much. To kill someone from one of the ten great sects so easily and not bat an eye represented two things.
One, Long Di was someone who was immensely powerful and talented. Only one of the ten great sects would be able to nurture such a heaven-defying genius. Two, Long Di knew who they were and was still so heavy-handed with his attacks. Only someone with backing comparable to the ten great sects would dare stand against them.
However, above all these, Long Di gave him an unnerving sense of unease and it was these thoughts that caused him to not attack outright.
“You haven’t heard of my sect before because I’m sect-less,” admitted Long Di.
