Moving Advanced Chapters Inhouse

Hey guys!

Our translators previously released Patreon advanced chapters through a secondary site, causing inconvenience amongst our donors. Thus, we optimized the site so that advanced chapters are now accessible through our HostedNovel website as well, bringing donors access to functionalities that the secondary sites lacked, like comments.

We hope that this upgrade can bring about a smoother reading experience.

P.S.: There will be no change to chapter releases, and all readers will still get releases at their usual pace.

Just to address some common questions
Is this website becoming pay to read website? 
HostedNovel is not becoming paywalled. Patreon has always been a core part of our website, just that it was more out of sight previously. We know that the advanced chapter model comes with its own share of problems, but it's the only tested and more accepted model to readers and translators. It's the only way we know of to help translators be compensated for their efforts, especially since we do demand higher quality work from our translators

Do I need to become a Patreon subscriber to finish reading the novel? 
For those unfamiliar with the advanced chapter system, it's basically donating a sum to the translator so that you could read x number of chapters ahead. Other than that, updates are still as per normal. If there are any other questions you would like to ask, please feel free to ask in the general channel, and one of our staff members should address your concerns

The novel I'm reading stopped updating after the advanced chapters were brought in-house. Isn't this a sign that it's becoming pay-to-read?
Firstly, I'd like to clarify that the Patreon system has been used by HostedNovel ever since its inception, and we're bringing it in-house to allow greater accessibility for the donors. Most novels that have advanced chapters already have advanced chapters from the very start.

As for certain novels that have stopped updating, it could be due to the translators being busy over the week. For LTBE, I stopped updating for the past week due to my academic commitments becoming overwhelming (I'll churn out those chapters as soon as I get time @@).

If a certain translator failed to update for an extended period of time without stating any reasons, feel free to drop us a message on our Discord, and we'll help you look into it!
