I’ll Take That Opportunity Chapter 32 - Seizing Lin Zisheng’s Opportunities

Suddenly, multicolored curtains of light filled the sky, revealing the faint outline of a grand temple through their shimmering glow.

As the temple slowly descended, numerous sword rays burst from the surrounding woods, streaking toward the temple like a storm of blades.

Atop the streaking swords were not only personal disciples at the Foundation Establishment realm but also several inner disciples of the same level.

“Is this the Heavenly Dwelling? It’s magnificent!”

Ye Lin couldn’t help but marvel. Without hesitation, he raced toward its landing site.

By the time he arrived, the grand temple had just touched down. A violent vortex of spirit qi surged outward. Ye Lin’s pores opened wide, greedily absorbing the spirit qi.

The temple resembled a massive silver-white fortress. Two majestic stone lions stood guard at the main entrance, exuding a powerful, awe-inspiring aura.

“What is this place? It’s so grand.”

“Could it be the cultivation dwelling of the ancient Gold Core cultivator?”

A disciple suddenly exclaimed, drawing everyone’s attention.

“You know something? Speak.” Came a soft voice from above.

It belonged to a breathtaking woman in a white dress, her presence cold and ethereal—Senior Disciple Sister Li.

The disciple bowed respectfully, “Senior Disciple Sister. I only know a little. This secret realm is where an ancient Gold Core cultivator perished. It's said he held significant status in his time. Our sect’s founder later discovered the place and established the Azure Cloud Sect here.”

“Back then, the founder tried to explore it but found that only cultivators below the Gold Core realm could enter. Despite years of searching, no one ever located the Gold Core cultivator’s cultivation dwelling.”

“However, it was eventually revealed that this secret realm opens once every ten years and is rich in spirit qi. Over time, many treasures have emerged within, turning it into a popular treasure-hunting ground for disciples. Who would have thought the cultivation dwelling would finally appear now?"

The moment he finished, fervor lit up the eyes of every disciple present.

It should be noted that the grand elders of the Azure Cloud Sect had all reached the Gold Core realm—an achievement that alone secured the sect’s dominance over the surrounding region.

As for a Gold Core cultivator from ancient times, their power was on an entirely different level. In those days, resources were plentiful and cultivators thrived in abundance. One could only imagine the immense wealth possessed by a high-status cultivator from that era.

Just as anticipation filled the air, a streak of light flashed across the sky. Lin Zisheng flew in on his sword, and when his gaze fell upon Ye Lin, a flicker of killing intent flashed in his eyes.

But with so many witnesses, it wasn’t the time to strike. Even he wouldn’t dare kill an inner disciple in public.

Boom!

A thunderous crash echoed as the silver-white gate of the Heavenly Dwelling suddenly swung open.

No one moved.

This was the cultivation dwelling of a Gold Core cultivator. Who knew what dangers might lie within? No one wanted to be the first to gamble their life.

“Hmph. Opportunities lie ahead, yet you hesitate in fear? You’ll never achieve greatness that way.”

A bold inner disciple sneered and flew straight into the temple.

When nothing happened to him, the others followed. Ye Lin slipped into the crowd and entered as well.

Inside, he found himself standing before five half-meter-wide bridges. They spanned a bottomless abyss, each leading to its own silver-white gate.

"The temple is so close to the ground, so what's with this bottomless abyss?" A disciple stepped forward and peered into the depths, and then wondered aloud, a shocked expression on his face.

"I don’t know." Replied Senior Disciple Sister Li, frowning, "Maybe it's some ancient technique left behind by the ancient Gold Core cultivator. Those times were full of mysteries... even I can’t make sense of it."

"There are five paths ahead. Which one you take is entirely up to you."

Without hesitation, the disciple who rushed into the temple first chose the first bridge, sprinted across, and vanished through the silver-white gate at the other end.

Ye Lin’s gaze settled on the third bridge. According to the panel, Lin Zisheng would be taking that path and obtaining a high-grade mystic-tier Foundation Establishment Pill.

Without a second thought, Ye Lin stepped onto the third bridge and dashed across, disappearing into the gate.

The other disciples quickly began making their choices, each one eager to begin their treasure hunt.

Seeing Ye Lin move ahead, Lin Zisheng joined the crowd and casually picked a random bridge. It wasn’t the right time to make a move, not with so many people around. But once they left the secret realm, he’d have plenty of opportunities. There was no way Ye Lin could hide in the Azure Cloud Sect forever.

Inside the gate, Ye Lin entered a vast chamber filled with towering statues—dragon, tiger, bears, unicorn, and countless other beasts, some of which he couldn’t even recognize.

"Dragon statue, tiger statue..." Ye Lin muttered in his mind, then headed toward the tiger. He squatted down and began feeling around the base with his right hand. Sure enough, he discovered a hidden wooden box and quickly stashed it in his Interspatial Ring.

Several disciples who entered after him noticed his crouching and curious behavior, their eyes narrowing. But when he withdrew his hand—seemingly empty—they lost interest and looked away.

Ye Lin then walked over to the dragon statue and, as expected, found an ancient book. That too went into his Interspatial Ring.

Though the Azure Cloud Sect ruled over a region, it was still considered a small sect. It’s inner disciples had likely never seen an Interspatial Ring. Only the inner elders owned a few, each one crafted by powerful cultivators at the Nascent Soul realm or higher. For disciples of small sects, such an item was simply beyond reach.

"Fellow Daoist." One disciple said, walking up to Ye Lin, "I saw you poking around the statue earlier. Did you find anything?"

Ye Lin smiled, "The statue looked suspicious, so I thought it might be a treasure. I figured I'd test its weight and see if I could move it. Even if it wasn’t a treasure, selling it could still fetch a decent price."

The others nodded, finding his explanation reasonable.

"But when I tried, it must’ve weighed at least fifty thousand kilograms." He added, shaking his head with a sigh, "Only Foundation Establishment disciples might be able to lift it."

"Don’t lose hope, Fellow Daoist. This is the cultivation dwelling of an ancient Golden Core cultivator. There’s bound to be more secrets here. Let’s search carefully."

The group dispersed, inspecting the statues one by one, hoping to find hidden mechanisms or treasures.

“That’s true. There’s no way an ancient Gold Core cultivator’s dwelling holds so few treasures. Maybe Lin Zisheng’s opportunities have refreshed again. What a pity he’s not here,” Ye Lin thought as he walked.

Suddenly, a startled cry rang out from ahead, "What is that?!"

Ye Lin and the others turned their heads. An inner disciple had stumbled upon a swarm of silver-white insects, each about the size of a palm, radiating 5th layer Qi Refinement aura.

Ye Lin was stunned. He never imagined such small creatures could possess that level of cultivation base.

"These insects... they’re filled with connate spirit qi!" A disciple exclaimed in shock, having just killed one.

He had casually killed the creature, only to feel a surge of pure spirit qi flow into his body, slightly boosting his cultivation base.

Spirit qi was divided into two types: connate and postnatal. Connate spirit qi was the purest, and cultivators who cultivated it held a clear advantage over those cultivated postnatal qi. However, after a great war in ancient times shattered the heavens and earth, only postnatal spirit qi remained.

Back then, Spirit Stones were uniform and without grades. Now, they varied in quality.

The higher the grade, the more spirit qi the Spirit Stone held, and the closer it was to connate spirit qi. Top-grade Spirit Stones, whose spirit qi nearly matched connate spirit qi, were extraordinarily rare and precious.
