Transmigration with Cheat Codes Chapter 5.2: Sword Sect Dominance

At this moment, Meng Jintang had already fully mastered the basic sword art, and had accumulated a lot of practical experience in killing monsters.

Although it had only been less than ten days since she had crossed over, her understanding of sword art was already far beyond what it was when she was living in a thatched hut.

This time, the system finally did not remind her that her aptitude was insufficient and that she could not study the secret techniques. Instead, she smoothly learned two new sword art techniques.

[System: Successfully learned "Hanshan Sword Art (Incomplete)", innate constitution increased by 1 point, gained 200 experience points.]

[System: Successfully learned "Linchi Sword Art", Agility increased by 2 points, gained 300 experience points.]

With the newly acquired attribute points, Meng Jintang's innate constitution had been raised to 16 and agility had reached 12. Other than physical fitness, which was still a dismal 8, the other three attributes had barely reached the minimum limit that players could tolerate.

The "[Learned Martial Arts]" interface now included two new entries in addition to the four basic martial arts:

["Hanshan Sword Art (Incomplete)”: 1000/3000 (total level 3, current level 1);"Linchi Sword Art": 800/2000 (total level 5, current level 0).]

Because Meng Jintang had already mastered the "Basic Sword Art" to an extremely proficient level, neither of the two new sword techniques started from scratch.

"Hanshan Sword Art (Incomplete)" already had a level of 1, while "Linchi Sword Art" might only have a level of 0, but it already had 800 points of proficiency.

The two cheat codes did not disappear due to Meng Jintang's study, but the paper had become more brittle, indicating a significant decrease in durability.

She closed the book and practiced the two sword techniques in her mind. Then, she picked up the Fine Iron Sword, leapt lightly, and landed on the open space in front of the Jietian Tower.

The chant for "Hanshan Sword Art" was "Misty smoke weaves through the plain". However, since it was an incomplete version, currently only the chant for the characters that made up “plain” (“Ping” and “Lin”) are available.

On the other hand, the chant for "Linchi Sword Art" consisted of four sentences: "Amidst the lotus flowers, carp swim in secret. White lotus leans in the water, delicate and pure. Dawn combing her hair, her jade hairpin shining bright. The mountain reveals its full glory, as if opening a screen."

These four sentences each represent a sword move in the "Linchi Sword Art."

The "Ping" character represented a flat cut, and Meng Jintang practiced it twice. She found that the essence of this move was to spread the sword light over a small range, combining offense and defense.

The other move was different; as the saying went, "a single tree does not make a forest." By using the "Lin" character technique, Meng Jintang could produce at least two points of sword aura with each strike.

She believed that as her proficiency increased, the number of sword auras would also increase.

After practicing "Ping" and "Lin" of the "Hanshan Sword Art" for just four times, Meng Jintang was about to brush up her proficiency in this skill. However, her hand suddenly stopped, and she stood there for a moment, a bitter smile appearing on her lips.

These two sword arts are much more powerful than the "Basic Sword Art," and they also consume internal energy more intensely. J

ust as Meng Jintang was about to change her moves, she realized that her Dantian was empty without her noticing, and the blue bar had already bottomed out.

Gentle breeze, light rain.

In the valley where the Hanshan Sect was located, there were not only flowers and trees, but also springs and lakes. The rain was as thin as willow silk, brushing across the surface of the lake and creating innumerable ripples.

At this moment, Meng Jintang was by the lake, tirelessly practicing the "Linchi Sword Art" over and over again.

This was a trick that Meng Jintang had discovered - perhaps because the name of the sword art was related to water, if she changed the practice location to the lake, the proficiency of this martial art would increase more quickly.

After some time of training, Meng Jintang was able to control the amount of internal energy consumed by each move more accurately. Even in practice without combat, she could refill her blue bar once and perform "Linchi Sword Art" up to ten times.

The gentle wind and rain did not require one to seek shelter. After completing ten rounds of the sword art, and with the rain still light, Meng Jintang sat cross-legged on a nearby stone by the lake to recover her strength.

When her internal energy was fully restored, she went to the mountain spring to fetch a pot of water and placed it on a small red clay stove. She then took up her sword and walked towards the area where the apes were, neither too fast nor too slow.

She had observed these creatures called “apes” before. From their appearance, they were just ordinary primates, and the use of the term “apes" might have been due to the designer's unique preference.

Agile and high in damage, but low in defense, this is the characteristic of the "ape" monsters. Meng Jintang had just maxed out her proficiency in the "Hanshan Sword Art," while she only reached the second level in the "Linchi Sword Art."

She originally planned to wait until both martial arts were fully developed before taking action, but one thing forced Meng Jintang to change her plan.

Recently she had been spending more than she earned, and she was running out of money soon.

Although she was able to sell the specialty products on the mountain to the system store for money, Meng Jintang not only needed to purchase items for the sect, but also bought a gift box priced at 50 Wen every day.

Unfortunately, the things inside the gift box were quite useful, and she didn't want to sell them back to the store for money. The end result was that her personal savings continued to rapidly decline.

If she did not make an effort to save it, she would have joined the ranks of the beggars in terms of her mental state.

Meng Jintang decided to take on the wild monsters in the valley today -- this group of "ape" creatures ranged from level 7 to 15, and she could sell the scraps from their bodies to the system in exchange for some money.

After several days of absence, the group of apes had grown even larger. Obviously, they had achieved remarkable results in attracting more companions.

Quietly approaching the edge of the wild monster area, Meng Jintang did not want to encounter the fate of being surrounded and attacked by the group.

She threw a stone from afar to attract the attention of the peripheral apes, and then used the Kite Tactic to quickly use her qinggong to pull the opponent to a place where the other apes could not see.

Author's note:

The chant for "Linchi Sword Art" is adapted from Li He's "Song of Jianglou". This is just a remark.
