Transmigration with Cheat Codes Chapter 27.2: Sect Heritage

Surrounded by rocks and grass, the time spent in the mountains was peaceful and serene. Other than the changes in the surroundings, one could hardly sense the passing of time.

Since Meng Jintang had successfully mastered qinggong, she no longer entered or exited through the cave. Despite the steep and uneven stone walls on all sides, covered with vines, she could walk on them effortlessly as if she were strolling on level ground.

Meng Jintang created a short-term plan for herself. While "Manual Writing" could earn her a small amount of money, the proficiency gained would gradually decrease with each attempt, making it less cost-effective.

After managing to create a "Drifting Catkin" manual with a 100% accuracy rate, she temporarily set it aside and redirected her focus toward researching martial arts and poison techniques.

Initially, when she first comprehended medical skills and poison techniques, the proficiency in both of these skills was roughly the same.

However, in the recent past, in order to refine the Transcendent Intermittent Healing Ointment, she forcefully improved her medical skills. Despite this, her poison techniques remained at a basic level.

According to the game's settings, in order to further advance in intermediate medical skills, the corresponding proficiency in poison techniques shouldn't be too low.

Fortunately, Meng Jintang had some interest in this, and in addition to practicing her internal martial arts, she didn't forget to pay attention to her life skills.

She also tried her hand at creating martial arts. As her proficiency in "Mysterious Void Technique" increased, she finally met the minimum standard for creating internal martial arts.

She then created a form of mixed-element internal energy called "Enlightenment Technique," which could be practiced up to level 2.

Without the "Mingyi Heart Scripture" equipped, players could only cultivate one internal energy in their Dantian. Therefore, even though Meng Jintang was the founder, she couldn't practice "Enlightenment Technique" when it wasn't equipped.

Time passed quickly when she was immersed in a task. By the time the sect's study construction was completed, the surrounding golden leaves had fallen, and Meng Jintang, as she got up in the morning to wash, noticed small snowflakes drifting down outside the window.

The snowflakes rolled across the bamboo leaves outside the window, melting before they even touched the ground. The mountain breeze blew in, bringing with it a chilling gust of cold air.

Meng Jintang bent over slightly and started coughing violently. Her cheeks, originally pale and devoid of color, had a faint unhealthy flush to them after the prolonged coughing fit.

With the help of the system and the initial improvements in life skills, her progress was quite fast.

After dedicating herself to studying for some time, a few days ago, Meng Jintang finally advanced to the intermediate level of poison techniques and gained a better understanding of the cold poison within her body.

This cold poison had been identified as "Nameless Cold Poison," a name that seemed to imply "it's a secret, but we won't tell you." Unlike common poisons, it had merged with Meng Jintang and couldn't be expelled.

When she hadn't yet cultivated her martial arts, the cold poison was confined to a small area within her due to her blocked meridians. As her meridians gradually opened, the poison spread through her extraordinary meridians, and it couldn't be forced out using internal energy.

However, once her skill level was high enough, she could gradually refine it.

Meng Jintang opened the "[Learned Martial Arts]" interface and took a look. "Wave-Breaking Palm" and "Hanshan Sword Art (Incomplete)" were both maxed out.

"Mysterious Void Technique (I/II)" was at level 5, "Drifting Catkin" was at level 4, and she had further refined "Sword that Blooms From The Trees" with three new moves: "Penetrating the Bead Curtain," "Emerging from the Emerald Thicket," and "Scattering the Cold Stars."

It's worth mentioning that, for "Mysterious Void Technique," it required 12,000 proficiency points to go from level 4 to level 5, and 16,000 proficiency points to go from level 5 to level 6.

As someone with a system, cheat codes, the "Sword Sharpening" skill, and bonuses even while sleeping due to the cold poison forcing constant self-improvement, Meng Jintang's cultivation speed was beyond incredibly fast.

But seeing all those zeros after the proficiency points, she couldn't help but feel a deep sense of sadness that screamed "I don't want this saved file anymore".

It's not that she didn't want to master all the martial arts, but on one hand, the required proficiency points were just too many, and on the other hand, solitary cultivation would eventually encounter insurmountable obstacles.

In front of the Sky-Residing Pavilion, a stove was lit, water was boiling on top, and below, yam was roasting in the firebox.

Most of the animals on the mountain were afraid of fire, but the Large Ape didn't fear it. It sat obediently by the side, waiting for Meng Jintang to roast the yam and share a piece with it.

When the water boiled, Meng Jintang lifted the kettle, poured a cup for herself, and poured another cup for the Large Ape, saying, "Brother Ape, please."

The Large Ape let out two chirps and placed its two paws together, almost as if it was making a polite gesture. It gently tapped the rim of the cup with its claws, then lifted the cup to drink.

This wasn't because the Large Ape wasn't afraid of being scalded, but rather, the cup had passed from Meng Jingtang's hand, and the boiling water had cooled to a temperature that was safe to drink.

Meng Jingtang took a sip of tea.

The tea had a medicinal fragrance.

Some time ago, Meng Jintang collected pine nuts from the mountains. She roasted them with the wild tea leaves and dried osmanthus flowers she had previously gathered.

Then, she prepared a Clear Dew Soup by adding ingredients like vermillion fruit, snake gallbladder, Kusnezoff Monkshood Leaf, mountain ginseng, poria, balloon flower, licorice, loquat leaves, and other medicinal herbs.

— After her skill in poison-making improved, there were some unexpected gains in the field of medicine. Even though she was still at the intermediate level in terms of proficiency, she managed to grasp new prescriptions.

The Clear Dew Soup helped clear miasma and boost her internal energy recovery speed, treating upper body coldness. In game terms, it improved her internal energy recovery rate and alleviated negative states to some extent.

The reason why Meng Jintang drank it was because, after trying various remedies, she found that this type of herbal tea was the most effective in suppressing her cough.

Even though it was early winter, the temperature wasn't particularly low. However, Meng Jintang had already lit the stove.

She was wearing a green satin cloak on the outside, and underneath, a deerskin short fur coat. She was thankful to the game designers for adding some cosmetic items in addition to the equipment with attributes.

These cosmetic items allowed her to change her appearance according to the changing seasons, and there was a good chance of getting free costume boxes from the in-game shop.

As the monkey and Meng Jintang were sipping tea, there was a sudden squeaking sound in the distance. An ordinary ape swung over on the vines, holding a torn piece of fabric in its claws.

Meng Jintang reached out and took the piece of torn fabric, examining it closely.

[System: The player has not learned the sewing skill, and the current fabric items are too damaged for effective identification.]

She clearly remembered that various raw materials could be analyzed normally.

‘Is this stupid system still reliable?’
