PHA - Chapter 314 - Demon King Running Errands

Although Alice had inadvertently brought trouble to the person she was looking for, she had also helped clear Mador of suspicion in a certain sense.

The Rhine Kingdom had most likely thought of the possibility of the demons planting a spy in their kingdom. After all, the various human kingdoms had planted their own spies in the demon realm. Among them, one had even made it into the position of a Heavenly King. So, it wouldn't be strange for the demons to do the same. However, even if the Rhine Kingdom's authorities realized that there might be a spy in their midst, they probably wouldn't suspect that the female student manipulated by the Demon King would be the spy the demons have planted in the Royal Magic Tower.

Alice had to admit that the female demon named Mador had concealed herself well. At the very least, when Alice watched Mador chatting merrily with her friends, the other party looked very much like your average student. Not once did Alice stop to think that Mador might be the demon spy operating in the Royal Magic Tower.

Moreover, Frosette had previously told Alice that the demon spies operating in the various magic academies would know everything there was to know about the academies they infiltrated. This caused Alice to subconsciously exclude the people queuing up outside Magic Tower Know-It-All's room. After all, why would a demon spy, who knew everything there was to know about the Royal Magic Tower, seek consultation with "Magic Tower Know-It-All"?!

Anyway, Mador's information came from Frosette, Alice should have no problems finding the demon spy this time. Moreover, it was highly unlikely that Mador had defected to the Rhine Kingdom. Otherwise, Etoria, the Rhine Kingdom's successor, should have recognized Mador. Yet, his behavior showed otherwise.

After Alice returned to the research room where the old magician and Mador occupied, she found the room empty. By the looks of it, Mador must have regained consciousness and was sent away by the old magician during the time she was consulting Froset
