The Southern District.

With the snap of the fingers, the candles on the three-candle candelabra were lit one by one, casting a glow on the wine in the goblet, as if light spots falling on a purple gem.

On the surface of the wine, a pair of dark golden eyes was reflected, eyes that seemed to conceal a lion, yet with great restraint.

Prince Austin held up the wine with his middle and ring fingers, swirled it gently, and then took a sip.

He turned and looked through the patterned lattice window at the lights of the Southern District.

"Goldners have a saying: beyond the Middle Sea lies paradise, where the water is sweeter than wine."

Austin's lips curved slightly, and he turned and looked at the other end of the room: "But you don't cherish it, now do you..."

His gaze fell on a woman in a muslin dress bound to a cross, her hair disheveled, blood staining the corners of her mouth.

"Please..." She said weakly.

"I entrusted the Sunflower Hot Springs to you because you are smart, Ms. Thalia." Austin swirled the wine, "But you let a little girl discover the Tree of Life string magic formation. I'm really disappointed."

"I swear they didn't find..." The woman murmured, "It's because of something else, because of..."

"Don't be ridiculous, we both know Bell Protectors aren't stupid." Prince Austin waved his hand as if to shoo away a mosquito, "Their next target is me, the male lion of the desert, and you are their informant within my pride."

"No... no..." The woman shook her head repeatedly, "Please..."

Prince Austin seemed to take pleasure in seeing the woman's struggle. He took another sip of wine, a smile playing on his lips: "But you will be forgiven."

"... what?" The woman raised her head, her eyes showing surprise, following by joy, "Thank you... thank you... I..."

"The great Gold Sun Wheel, the primeval One, will personally forgive you." Prince Austin spoke the latter part of the sentence in a cheerful tone.

"What... no... no..."

The woman seemed to want to plead further, but Prince Austin had elegan
