Councillor Estain Allorn was sitting on the terrace of his home, leisurely sipping tea.

Golden stars dotted the sky, causing the pale blue moon to lose its brilliance, making the night lean toward pale gold shades.

After taking a sip of tea, he straightened his shoulders and then exhaled turbid air.

With recent affairs piling up—from the Evil God at Mordheim to the escalating incidents involving Steam Man—the councillor in his fifties was getting a little weary of it all.

The funeral of Bell Protector Xing Mo was going to be held at Holy Spirit Church this weekend. Alas, there were so many things...

"I still prefer gold and tea." Councillor Estain said leisurely.

At this time, the night became a little hazy, as if a faint mist had risen.

Estain didn't notice anything strange at first. After dozens of seconds, he finally got up from his seat.

But it was already too late. A tall shadow stepped out of the darkness, accompanied by the hiss of steam and scattered sparks.

Before Estain could think about how the monster entered his mansion, before he could reach for the wand at his waist, a rumble tore through the night's tranquility—

Steel shot tore through flesh. Estain's lower body fell to the ground, while his upper body flew out of the terrace like a flower and disappeared in the mist.

"♬Up for sale"

Melodious music reverberated in the banquet hall, and golden light sprinkled on the red carpet, tables, and guests.

In the center of the dance floor, Bishop Arcadia Sebourn—holding a graceful woman—was dancing to the rhythm of the musing.

"Oh, Sir Bishop, you look so graceful and elegant outside church..." The woman in the arms of Bishop Arcadia giggled.
