Chapter 673: When the Rain Continues
In a compartment room on the third floor of Bambi Entertainment City.
Under the influence of alcohol, Wu Yao pushed the young woman down with a mixture of force and violence. He utterly disregarded the crying and the screaming from the young woman before him as he displayed the worst side of humanity.
Was Wu Yao in lack of women?
As long as he shouted by the corridor and slammed two thousand dollars on the table, there were plenty of women who would have been willing to flock into his arms.
Given so, was there really a need for him to force himself on a woman?
The exhilaration of domination, that was the kind of pleasure he sought. He was suffering from a different mental disease from that of Xing Zihao.
Xing Zihao was too repressed at home that it eventually led to him developing two extreme personalities. The more he tried to put on a mask before his father and his brothers, the more he found himself having to find an outlet to vent himself. This was further exacerbated by the neurotics that he consumed, resulting in the erosion of his sanity.
Wu Yao, on the other hand, had developed his personality due to his affluent family background. He was used to having all of his demands satisfied, such that the ordinary ‘destressing methods’ of the common populace was something easily within his reach.
Something that was so obtainable to him and had become part of his daily life simply couldn’t excite him anymore.
So, he sought for greater thrills. He wanted to make his life interesting and exciting. The game that he invented which disgusted Yuan Ke was one example. His desire to exert his dominance over a married wife was another example. The act of claiming possession of another person even though her husband was working at the same place filled him with psychopathic elation…
The influence of alcohol was nothing more than an excuse for him. Such immoral mistakes had to be conducted with at least a sliver of consciousness.
Wu Yao paid no heed to the young woman’s desperate pleas at all. He held her arms down with his legs as he quickly unfastened his pants.
Guangdang!
It was at this moment that the door to the compartment room opened, and a skinny lad dressed in the clothes of a waiter charged in.
Wu Yao turned around.
“Honey!” the lad shouted. He furiously marched in and pushed Wu Yao aside, bellowing, “Get lost!”
The young woman bawled fearfully on the sofa as she covered her face.
Seeing the state that his wife was in, the lad couldn’t hold back the rage surging in him anymore. He grabbed Wu Yao’s collar and raised his fist to punch him.
Wu Yao looked at the young lad before him and said, “You want to hit me? Heh! Even if I don’t do anything at all, just by not coming by here for three days, your boss will look into the reason himself and fire the two of you!”
The lad was stunned.
“You don’t want to live your days anymore, huh?” Wu Yao sneered with a smug smile on his lips. “Take a look at yourself. It must be hard for you to have found this job!”
The lad gritted his teeth furiously as his hands trembled in agitation.
“Get out and close the door! I’ll give you money afterward!” Wu Yao said as he pushed the lad aside.
“Go to hell!”
The lad was only 26-year-old, an age where one tended to be hot-blooded and emotional. If Wu Yao had stopped there, he might have just swallowed his anger for the sake of their jobs. But Wu Yao’s expression, tone, and words had all left the lad feeling deeply humiliated and looked down upon, resulting in a massive outburst of emotions that culminated into a punch onto Wu Yao’s face.
Wu Yao was shocked by the punch.
“Don’t stop it!” Despite still crying, the young woman got up and tried to stop her husband. “Let it go, we’ll leave. Don’t hit him…”
“Even if I work as a coolie in the Wasteland District, I won’t tolerate this from him!” The lad had completely gone delirious from anger. He raised his fist once more and smashed it into Wu Yao’s face.
“Stop!” The young woman used all of her strength to pull the lad back by his waist.
Having a few good punches sunk into him, Wu Yao’s lips were torn by his teeth, and blood was seeping from his mouth.
The lad glared at Wu Yao amidst deep breaths and bellowed, “If you dare harass my wife again, I’ll kill you!”
“Hehehe,” Wu Yao burst into laughter.
“Go, let’s leave now!” The young woman tugged on the lad’s arm and forcefully pulled him out.
The lad shot a glance at Wu Yao before taking off his coat and cloaking it on his wife. Then, the two of them began making their way out of the compartment room.
Bam!
The lad froze in his footsteps. Crimson blood began to flow from the back of his head.
“Fucking twat. A useless scum like you dares to hit me?” Wu Yao bellowed with reddened eyes. With the broken half of the wine bottle he had smashed on the lad’s head still in his right hand, he stabbed the lad.
Puchi!
It was hard to tell that Wu Yao had done it intentionally or that it was a spontaneous decision that he made in a moment of rage, but he plunged the broken bottle right into the lad’s neck.
AHHH!
A cry of agony sounded a few seconds later. It was from the young woman.

In a rundown brick house built by the charity organizations, Qin Yu looked at the old man before him and asked, “I’m surprised that you were able to tell me the flow of events so clearly. Is this your presumption, or do you have real evidence behind it?”
“My son’s case is not complicated at all. You can head right over to Bambi Entertainment City and ask anyone that was present that day about the situation; they would be able to clearly tell you the same story that I just told you,” the old man told Qin Yu.
“The incident might have happened inside a compartment room, but the shouts and punches could be heard by those outside loud and clear. I reckon that there’s no one in the entire Bambi Entertainment City who doesn’t know about it, so there’s no need for me to presume anything at all!”
Qin Yu fell silent.
“It’s true that I don’t have any evidence though. I had to ask quite a few people in order to get the details of the case,” the old man said.
At this point, he turned to Qin Yu with tears brimming in his eyes as he continued, “But if you really intend to investigate the case and redress the grievances of us common populace, you would surely be able to find dozens of eye-witnesses easily! My son and his wife never walked out of that compartment room that day. Someone told me that as soon as the fight began, Wu Yao’s friends rushed in and sealed off the area. Two cars parked at the bottom of the building shortly later, and someone saw them tossing two bodies down with his own eye. After that, Wu Yao strutted out of the room as if nothing happened.”
“Did you get any eye-witnesses to head to the Jiangnan Sector Police Bureau to explain the situation then?” Zhu Wei asked.
“I have at least kneeled on fifty occasions after the mishap occurred. Whenever I found someone who knew something about the situation, I would kowtow to them and beg them to redress my son and daughter-in-law’s grievances… I don’t have any money, so I can only ask them to take pity on me…” the old man said as he wiped away the tears in his eyes. “But till this day, there’s not a single person who is willing to step forward to explain the situation, not a person at all…”
Everyone fell silent.
The old man raised his head and continued speaking, “I can understand why too. They fear Wu Yao, that’s why. However, I have nothing to fear anymore. I have already lost my son and my daughter-in-law; all that’s left is me, my wife, and my grandson. My wife is ill, and she’s currently lying in the room over that. The two of us have discussed this matter, and we decided that even if we die, we must sue him for this matter. I don’t expect to receive any compensation or have him apologize to me. I just want the court to give him the punishment he deserves and find out where my son is buried so that my wife and I will at least know where to erect a tombstone at.”
Qin Yu pondered for a moment before he got up and said, “Gramps, I’ll investigate this case for you.”
“Will you be able to do it?” the old man asked.
“If even I can’t do it, this case is pretty much doomed,” Qin Yu replied with a deep sigh.
Hearing those words, the turbid eyes of the old man lit up with hope once more. He agitatedly stood up and bowed a little, “I… Thank you, thank you…!”
…
Jiangzhou.
In the midst of a barren land, Ma Lao-er was burning incense paper and hell notes.
Old Cat shot a glance at him and remarked, “You’ve finally returned back to life.”
Ma Lao-er squatted before a heap of flames as he replied with a stable tone, “It won’t do for there to not be a backbone for the family. I’ll be returning to Songjiang soon.”
