Snow-Kissed Rose (GL) Chapter 79.2

Even after all the other windows on the seventh floor went dark, one window remained lit.

Upon returning to the dormitory, Song Yingshi and Huai Xu tacitly washed up quickly. After setting aside her beauty instrument, Song Yingshi lit a brand new scented candle and covered the camera in the room with a towel.

As the candlelight flickered, it cast an oval shadow on the wall. Song Yingshi stared at the swaying light and shadow as she listened to the movement behind her.

After sharing a bedroom for over a month, Song Yingshi could easily guess what Huai Xu was doing based on audio cues alone.

There was the loose, muffled sound of a bed being made, the knocking sound of a mug being picked up and set down, and the rustling sound of pages being turned.

Song Yingshi was familiar with all these audio cues, and it sounded like Huai Xu was going through her usual routine. Although this sense of familiarity made her feel at ease, the only problem was…

Song Yingshi turned around and looked at Huai Xu, who sat leaning against her bed's headboard with a peaceful expression.

They had just kissed tonight, yet Huai Xu showed no signs of abnormality after returning to the dormitory…

We kissed, for heaven's sake! Does Huai Xu even like me still?

Song Yingshi was originally contemplating how she should explain to Huai Xu why she had initiated a kiss. But now it seemed…she didn't need to offer any explanations.

Although Song Yingshi got to avoid this troublesome step, she couldn't bring herself to feel happy about it.

But since Huai Xu refused to speak, Song Yingshi wasn't about to take the initiative to speak up either. Thus, she extinguished the candle and secretly observed Huai Xu's actions through her peripheral vision.

Huai Xu picked up her lyric book and put it down again.

Huai Xu looked straight ahead as she leaned against the headboard, looking like she was thinking about something.

Finally, Huai Xu turned and looked at Song Yingshi.

Immediately, Song Yingshi's heart and body tensed up. But before she could say the words in her mind, she heard Huai Xu asking her, "I want to sleep. Can I turn off the lights now?"

Song Yingshi: "..."

Very good. After they had just shared a kiss, Huai Xu was not only in the mood for sleep, but she was going to bed even earlier than usual.

"It's getting late," Huai Xu added.

Song Yingshi secretly took a deep breath and replied calmly, "You're right."

In the past, whenever one of them wanted to sleep, they would discuss turning off the lights with each other. After replying to Huai Xu, Song Yingshi swiftly exited her bed to turn off the lights.

After Song Yingshi returned to her bed in her slippers, she sat on the edge and raised her legs onto the bed.

Just as Song Yingshi was about to pull the blanket over herself, she paused for a few seconds before abruptly slipping back into her slippers, standing up, and sitting down on the neighboring bed.

Since Song Yingshi couldn't sleep, Huai Xu shouldn't think of getting a peaceful rest either. Amidst the darkness, she called out, "Huai Xu."

"You… I'm here," Huai Xu replied, sounding a little surprised.

"Move over a little and make some space for me," Song Yingshi said very naturally.

Huai Xu: "..."

When Song Yingshi sensed Huai Xu's surprised reaction, she felt a pleasure similar to successfully getting revenge.

Without waiting for Huai Xu to move aside, Song Yingshi started groping around in the darkness. When her hand came into contact with Huai Xu's kneecap through the blanket, she urged in a low voice, "Why aren't you moving?"

After a while, rustling sounds appeared in the dark room.

Song Yingshi was extremely satisfied to hear these sounds. Just as she slipped out her slippers, she heard Huai Xu calmly ask, "Are you sure you want to be here?"

Song Yingshi paused at the obvious threat.

Huai Xu propped up her upper body with her elbows. When she felt Song Yingshi's hesitation, a particular emotion filled her. Though, whether it was relief or disappointment, she couldn't tell.

Before Huai Xu could determine what she was feeling, Song Yingshi, after a short pause, climbed onto her bed at an even quicker pace.

"Don't misunderstand. I'm just here to have a heart-to-heart talk before bed," Song Yingshi said.

Huai Xu quietly shut her eyes. When she reopened them, Song Yingshi was already lying beside her, their heads nearly touching. However, while her body was under the blanket, Song Yingshi was above it.

Song Yingshi wasn't satisfied occupying only parts of Huai Xu's bed. She also aimed to seize Huai Xu's pillow as she said, "Share some of your pillow with me."

Huai Xu leaned back. She smiled in amusement and asked, "Are you here to make trouble? Or do you want to…"

Huai Xu stopped speaking halfway through as a finger fell on her lips.

After adapting to the darkness, Huai Xu saw Song Yingshi looking at her with glowing eyes resembling those of the demoness of the night.

As Song Yingshi leaned closer and rested her head on the pillow, she whispered, "I only covered the camera's lens today; I didn't unplug it. So…be more careful when you speak."

As Song Yingshi spoke, the breath from her mouth ruffled Huai Xu's hair and tickled Huai Xu's ear.

Pursing her lips, Huai Xu subconsciously looked in the camera's direction.

Subsequently, Song Yingshi and Huai Xu fell silent, the scent of roses quietly and seductively spreading in the darkness.

Song Yingshi originally wanted to cause trouble, but now that she was beside Huai Xu, the closeness inexplicably soothed her, and a different thought stirred within her.

With gentle motions, Song Yingshi twirled a lock of Huai Xu's hair around her finger and whispered, "Huai Xu."

Huai Xu replied with a single syllable from her nose, indicating she was listening.

Hearing this, Song Yingshi asked openly, "What did it feel like to kiss me?"

Huai Xu originally faced the ceiling. At Song Yingshi's question, she turned to look at the other party sideways. Although she kept quiet, the restlessness in her movements said everything.

Song Yingshi was still a little uncomfortable at first, but after sensing Huai Xu's reaction, a bout of interest replaced her unease as she asked curiously, "Or do you want to hear how I felt when I kissed you?"

A few seconds later, Huai Xu chuckled and answered, "Mhm, I want to hear how you felt."

While twirling Huai Xu's hair, Song Yingshi furrowed her brows and answered seriously, "You smelled very nice, and your lips felt very soft and warm. Alright, it's your turn now."

"Only one sentence?" Huai Xu asked lazily.

"That's all. What else could there be?" Song Yingshi retorted. After all, they had only shared a light kiss.

"Mhm, I feel the same way," Huai Xu responded.

Song Yingshi could sense Huai Xu's perfunctory attitude. Just as she was about to erupt in anger, she suddenly heard the other party asking, "Then, did it hurt when I bit you?"

As soon as this question was raised, the temperature in the room rose by several degrees. Song Yingshi tugged on the lock of hair around her finger, causing it to sink into her flesh. She said in a voice as fine as silk, "What do you think?"

"Even if it hurt, you deserved it for not concentrating," Huai Xu replied.

Song Yingshi recalled the scene when she displayed her defiance toward Fu Shu. Although she had a legitimate reason for getting distracted, she lost most of her confidence after Huai Xu's question, so she rolled her eyes and mumbled, "Yes, yes, only you were focused. Not like you tried to escalate the kiss."

The two of them were originally already communicating in a whisper. Hence, when Song Yingshi mumbled quickly, Huai Xu failed to catch what the other party said.

"What did you say?" Huai Xu asked.

Song Yingshi shut her mouth. A moment later, she said softly, "I'm reflecting on myself."

Huai Xu didn't believe a word Song Yingshi just said, but she simply couldn't bring herself to get angry at Song Yingshi.

Once a person truly fell for someone, no matter how angry one was with the other party, one would still indulge them.

Huai Xu felt for Song Yingshi's eyebrows in the dark and gradually made her way down. When her fingers eventually reached Song Yingshi's lower lip, she asked, "Does it still hurt?"

Song Yingshi's lips were slightly thicker than Huai Xu's. Both upper and lower lips were plump and naturally red. She also looked like she was born with a smile.

The lower lip was the one that Huai Xu had bitten. Even though hours had passed, she could still recall the feeling of the tender flesh when she pinched it between her lips and teeth.

As Huai Xu gently swirled her forefinger around Song Yingshi's lower lip, she coaxed her like she was coaxing a child, "Pain, pain, go away."

At Huai Xu treating her like a child, Song Yingshi opened her mouth to say something. But before she could get any words out, the forefinger on her lower lip slipped into her mouth and pressed against her teeth like an uninvited but polite guest.

From this moment on, verbal communication lost its purpose as Huai Xu didn't need Song Yingshi to give her an answer.

Song Yingshi slackened her jaw, allowing Huai Xu's forefinger to slip deeper into her oral cavity. Then, she gently brought her teeth together and bit down on the first knuckle of Huai Xu's forefinger.

When Song Yingshi looked up, she met Huai Xu's gaze directly.

The camera was like a dog with night blindness, relying solely on auditory cues to perceive its surroundings. Under its partially crippled surveillance, the flames of desire within Song Yingshi and Huai Xu gradually grew as they stared at each other.

Song Yingshi gently whipped her tongue across the intruder between her lips and teeth. This experience was a first for her, but she did her best to drench the intruder.

When Song Yingshi finished fingerprinting Huai Xu's forefinger and moved on to the knuckles, Huai Xu suddenly bent her finger and pressed it against Song Yingshi's soft tongue. Simultaneously, she used her knuckles to push Song Yingshi's teeth apart. Then, her finger dove straight in.

As Huai Xu was stirring up a storm, Song Yingshi refused to be outdone as she strengthened her bite and increased the movement of her tongue.

At first, there was restraint from both sides. However, as time passed, both of them lost their composure, and the sound of moisture and rapid breathing began to echo across the darkness, stirring up waves of love.

The hot tide surged faster and faster, threatening to devour those before it.

The bed beneath Song Yingshi and Huai Xu became their only boat, their bodies each other's oars. Yet, instead of paddling in unison and steering to safety, they moved erratically and out-of-sync, spinning the boat in place.

Eventually, Song Yingshi was consumed by the tide of passion and leaned her body against Huai Xu's. However, just as she was about to lower her head and initiate a kiss, Huai Xu stopped her.

Song Yingshi's mind momentarily regained clarity.

"Why?"
