Necromancer: I Am A Disaster Chapter 52 - Invasion Of An Abyssal Force

Three figures materialized beside the towering structure of the Trial Tower, radiating an imposing presence, standing in midair.

"I didn't expect those scum from the Abyss to launch a surprise attack."

"Vile creatures."

"What now?"

One of the figures touched the Trial Tower, probing the situation inside.

"Abyssal scum has infiltrated, targeting the examinees in the Battle-Space. The tower's interior is in chaos, its laws corrupted. The land inside originates from the Abyss, giving them the advantage. I will need time to restore order."

"How long?"

"One hour."

Meanwhile, inside the tower’s Battle-Space, the students were locked in fierce combat against monsters. Suddenly, all the creatures vanished.

The space shifted.

A heavy, oppressive atmosphere descended, thick with malice. Dark tendrils of gas seeped from the earth, spreading an eerie chill.

"What’s happening?"

"Where did the monsters go?"

"Why did the battlefield change?"

Lin Moyu wasted no time, summoning his Skeletal Warriors to form a protective perimeter.

When the situation was uncertain, securing one's safety was always the priority.

"Dummy Lin."

A familiar voice caught Lin Moyu’s attention. Turning, he saw Xia Xue.

Seeing another person in the Battle-Space was unexpected, and for a moment, Lin Moyu was visibly surprised. But he wasn’t the only one—Xia Xue also seemed taken aback.

The Skeletal Warriors parted, creating a path for Xia Xue to approach.

"Do you know what's going on?" She asked.

Lin Moyu shook his head.

Xia Xue frowned, "I was fighting monsters just now, but they suddenly vanished. I have no idea what’s happening."

At first, unease had gripped her. But now, standing beside Lin Moyu, the fear subsided. His calm and composed demeanor had a reassuring effect.

Suddenly, beams of light erupted in the pitch-black Battle-Space as examinees materialized one after another.

In total, more than a hundred people had appeared. Alongside the five from Jiangning Province, examinees from other provinces were also present.

Then, a deep voice echoed through the space.

"Kids."

The tone was steady, yet powerful.

"I am Bai Yiyuan."

Gasps filled the air as every examinee turned wide-eyed in shock.

"White God [1], it's White God."

"It's really him—I can hear White God's voice!"

Bai Yiyuan, one of the supreme powerhouses of the Shenxia Empire, revered as the White God, had spoken. His voice alone sent waves of astonishment through the Battle-Space.

Yet, it did not stop there. His words resonated beyond the Battle-Space, echoing across every examination site.

Even Ning Xuanfeng’s expression shifted, "Why has White God intervened? Did something happen?"

Then, Bai Yiyuan’s voice rang out once more: "A force of the Abyss has invaded the Battle-Space. We are working to restore its laws, but the process will take an hour. The Demon's target is you kids."

A chilling silence fell over the examinees.

"For the next hour, survival is your only goal. We do not know what tricks the Demon will use against you. But as long as you stand together, he won't be able to bring you down."

"The people of Shenxia fear neither battle nor death."

His words carried an undeniable weight, igniting a fire within every heart.

A powerful chant erupted from the examinees, their voices merging as one:

"We fear neither battle nor death!"

"We fear neither battle nor death!"

"We fear neither battle nor death!"

The examinees—young, full of vitality—were swept up in the moment. Their emotions ignited, and they roared in unison.

Xia Xue instinctively wanted to join them. But when she glanced at Lin Moyu, who remained silent, she hesitated. Her hand rose halfway before she let it drop.

Lin Moyu didn't shout, but he didn't need to. He was only 18, a son of Shenxia. Though he didn’t shout, a flicker of determination stirred in his eyes.

When it came to fighting the Abyssal Demons, he wouldn’t hold back.

The examinees began to move closer to one another. Since childhood, they had been taught that the Abyss was a terrifying place—a nightmarish realm crawling with countless monsters and Demons, filled with dungeons.

Xia Xue murmured, "They say the Abyss is terrifying. The weakest monsters there are level 70, elite monsters to boot."

She had heard Xia Dongyang speak of its horrors, and ever since, a quiet fear had taken root in her heart.

Lin Moyu, on the other hand, only knew of the Abyss from textbooks, and even then, the Abyss was mentioned only in passing. In truth, he understood little about it.

Still, he said simply, "I trust White God."

Since Bai Yiyuan had spoken, then that meant as long as they stood together, they had a chance.

Lin Moyu caught the deeper meaning in Bai Yiyuan's words.

They were not facing the Abyss—only an invading force of the Abyss.

That was a critical distinction.

The invading force wouldn’t be too strong. They should be able to fight it. If a true abyssal monster—a level 70 elite monster—had descended upon the Battle-Space, it would be enough to annihilate everyone here.

Including Lin Moyu.

In the control room, Ning Xuanfeng’s expression darkened, his tone grave, "How could this happen?"

Unlike the examiners around him—who were already in a state of panic—he remained composed.

"How is this possible?"

"An invasion—right in the middle of the great examination."

"Their target is the geniuses taking part in the fifth round."

"If we don’t handle this properly, they’ll return—next year, and the year after that."

"They intend to cut off Shenxia’s future at the roots."

A murmur of alarm rippled through the examiners.

The examinees who had entered the Battle-Space were no ordinary students. They were the future pillars of the Shenxia Empire.

The Abyss was quite insidious.

Then, Ning Xuanfeng’s voice rang out, "Silence."

The room fell still.

His piercing gaze swept across them, "Tell the people outside—do not panic; trust White God."

His tone carried unquestionable authority, "You, too—trust White God."

One by one, the examiners straightened, their voices firm, "Trust White God!"

In Shenxia Empire, Bai Yiyuan held an exalted status. There was no one who wouldn’t trust his words.

Before long, the outside world quieted down. Anxiety gave way to faith.

And in the depths of their hearts, they prayed for the examinees.

Within the Battle-Space, the air grew heavier. The oppressive atmosphere thickened, coiling around the examinees like an invisible shroud.

Then—without warning—the sky shifted.

A crimson moon loomed overhead, its eerie glow staining the heavens with blood.

Gasps echoed through the crowd.

"The Abyssal Blood Moon!"

"The abyssal force has begun to act!"

"Everyone, prepare for battle!"
