Necromancer: I Am A Disaster Chapter 49 - What On Earth Did Lin Moyu Do?

50 or 60 meters away, there was a group of monsters, ten in total. The monsters spotted Lin Moyu and unleashed roars, and then charged toward him.

Lin Moyu cast the Detection spell.

[Ferryn Beastman Warrior]

[Level: 15]

That was all the information he received—no attributes, no skills. It was the first time the Detection spell had revealed so little.

Lin Moyu observed the Ferryn Beastman Warriors closely. They resembled giant, upright lizards with long tails trailing behind them.

Their roars reverberated through the Battle-Space, drawing the attention of nearby Ferryn Beastmen. Within moments, additional teams of the creatures appeared in Lin Moyu’s line of sight.

For other class users, they would engage with the closest group of Ferryn Beastmen and go all out to kill a few and then retreat before being surrounded, chipping away at the enemy. Being encircled would spell disaster.

But Lin Moyu wasn’t like other class users.

The three Skeletal Warriors beside him leapt into action, charging straight at the Ferryn Beastmen. Their blades rose and fell, inflicting devastating wounds on the leading monsters.

However, the Ferryn Beastmen didn’t die, clinging to a sliver of health.

“Hmm? They can’t be killed in one strike?” Lin Moyu muttered, slightly surprised, “Their attributes…”

He quickly deduced the reason. The Ferryn Beastmen must possess a high physique attribute, making them resilient.

However, their attacks on the Skeletal Warriors dealt minimal damage, indicating their strength attribute was low.

“High physique, low strength.” Lin Moyu concluded.

If one strike wasn’t enough, two would suffice.

A Ferryn Beastman let out a heart-wrenching scream before collapsing lifelessly to the ground.

Lin Moyu’s points changed instantly, leaping from 3,605 to 3,655.

In the control room, while it wasn’t possible to see footage of the fifth round of the examination, the examiners could monitor the points tally.

“Lin Moyu has started.”

“That was quick.”

Then, the points surged again, jumping from 3,655 to 4,105, startling the examiners.

They exchanged puzzled glances.

“What just happened? Why did his points spike like that?”

The answer lay on the battlefield. After the Skeletal Warriors killed a Ferryn Beastman Warrior, Lin Moyu unleashed Corpse Explosion.

With a thunderous blast, the entire group of Ferryn Beastmen was obliterated.

The 10 defeated monsters earned Lin Moyu 500 points.

Instead of taking further action, Lin Moyu chose to wait, to wait for the remaining teams of Ferryn Beastmen to come to him.

“They’ll come to me anyway.” He thought.

Nine corpses remained on the battlefield, perfect to use Corpse Explosion.

But Lin Moyu was caught off guard—the corpses vanished within moments, seemingly sinking into the pitch-black earth. The corpses lasted only 10 seconds.

“What’s going on?” Lin Moyu murmured, his brow furrowing, “Looks like I’ll need to adjust my plan.”

He glanced around at the teams of Ferryn Beastman charging toward him from different directions. Without hesitation, Lin Moyu summoned additional Skeletal Warriors—nine in total—assigning each to intercept a team of Ferryn Beastmen.

The skeletal figures clattered across the ground, drawing the monsters together.

Two minutes later, nearly 100 Ferryn Beastmen had converged in one area.

The Skeletal Warriors struck first, swiftly killing a Ferryn Beastman. Lin Moyu followed up with a series of Corpse Explosions, triggering devastating blasts.

In just three seconds, he cast Corpse Explosion seven or eight times, causing the pitch-black earth to quake under the carnage. The Ferryn Beastman Warriors were annihilated completely.

Lin Moyu’s points skyrocketed to 8,605.

Meanwhile, the control room of the Trial Tower became lively again.

“What on earth did Lin Moyu do?”

“Why did his points skyrocket like that?”

“No idea. We can’t see what’s happening in the Battle-Space.”

“Lin Moyu had 3,605 points before, but now he has 8,605. That’s a massive jump of 5,000 points!”

“It’s clear that the first batch of 100 monsters has been completely wiped out. But how it happened, we have no clue.”

The examiners exchanged confused glances.

Looking at the points of the other participants only deepened their bewilderment. After all, Lin Moyu was just a level 16 class user—how powerful could his skills possibly be?

For him to annihilate 100 monsters in one go defied belief.

Take Xia Xue, for example. As an Elemental Mage proficient in wide-area attacks, even she could only raise her points by increments of 50 or 100 at a time. Yet Lin Moyu had gained 5,000 points in mere minutes—a feat that seemed utterly impossible.

Ning Xuanfeng, though calmer than the rest, couldn’t suppress a twitch of his eyelids. Even with his vast experience, he struggled to fathom how Lin Moyu had achieved such results.

“What on earth did this kid do?” Ning Xuanfeng muttered under his breath, “What sort of class is Necromancer, really? What are its limits?”

Questions swirled in his mind, one after another. His curiosity about the Battle-Space grew stronger, but his authority didn’t grant him access to it. All he could do was analyze Lin Moyu’s point changes and speculate.

Meanwhile, in the Battle-Space, the corpses of the Ferryn Beastmen disappeared without a trace after just 10 seconds.

Lin Moyu waited quietly for the next wave of monsters to appear.

“Will I need to wait a full minute, like in the fourth round?”

The thought had barely crossed his mind when a sudden sense of danger washed over him.

The sky turned red, and dozens of massive fireballs, each a meter in diameter, rained down like meteorites.
