Hearing his answer, Charlotte tightened her arms around him. Unease could be seen reflected in her eyes. Roel noticed her response, but she spoke up before he could ask about it.

“I know that things are going according to plan, but I can’t help but feel that everything is going too smoothly.”

Roel nodded in agreement as he contemplatively gazed out of the window. Charlotte continued hugging him, keeping her silence so as to not disturb his train of thought.
