“How can that do? Nearl, Nightingale, help me restrain him.”

“Hey, Nearl, don’t come over. Wait, Nightingale, don’t come over too. Think about the wonderful memories when I spatial jumped with you.”

“Spatial jumping does not feel wonderful at all,” Nightingale replied expressionlessly to Chen Heng.

“You can’t do this…. You can’t just abandon me after having your fun. You are heartless….”

“…He Who Knows Fate, don’t teach children the wrong thing.”

“Shining, what do He Who Knows Fate’s words mean?”

“Children should not ask.”

“I’m not a child anymore….”

Shining and Nightingale checked Chen Heng and let him go only after finding that he had no major injuries.

“You are not significantly injured, indeed. However, it’s best not to repeat that.” Although Shining let Chen Heng go, she still nagged at him.

“Be reasonable. Would I need to draw a sword normally? Would I have to draw a sword if not for running into such a monster this time?”

“Speaking of monsters, I feel that Little Brother He Who Knows Fate is even more of a monster than Talulah. However, we really have to thank you this time.” Ace walked over to Chen Heng while holding his battered shield.

“That is nothing much. However, it seems that I have to compensate Shining for her sword. Can I claim the money from Rhodes Island?” Chen Heng had returned the sword to Shining. After shoving the two halves into her staff, she returned his sniper rifle.

“So, that’s what you are worried about. Don’t worry. Rhodes Island has a place for operators to maintain and repair their equipment. I recall the maintenance operator is called Vulcan. I should bring my shield there, too; it is already so battered. That Talulah is truly terrifying.”

Bang! Chen Heng suddenly raised his sniper rifle with one hand and fired a shot, then propped the sniper rifle back on his shoulder.
