Long Di stared at her average-ass self for a good while before he said something that could only be described as a violation.
“Uhm, you're not qualified to join my harem.”
****
The place went completely silent as rage reddened Sun Fenfang's face almost immediately.
What did this buffoon say about her!?
“Hahahahahahahahahaha!!” Pebbles fell over on his side laughing when he heard Long Di's response.
He broke the pall of silence that fell over the crowd following Long Di's lack of tact statement.
“Who'd want to join your harem!? Do you know who I am!?” Sun Fenfang was furious!
“No, but you asked me what I wanted for serving you. I thought that was a thinly veiled euphemism for joining my harem.” Long Di answered her honestly.
“Never!” Sun Fenfang yelled.
Normally, alchemists like Sun Fenfang wouldn't have to fight their own battles. Experts would flock to her aid in hopes of gaining her favour for medicinal pills.
The problem right now was that Long Di was too strong and no matter how many people ganged up on him, they wouldn't be able to beat him. So the situation here was too different.
Moreover, Sun Fenfang was flustered into anger since she never really found herself in a situation like this. For one, alchemists had powerful spiritual force, and this also resulted in their mental realm being fairly high.
Because of this, they were known to be relatively steady in their bearing, but Long Di was able to anger her to this extent with just a few words.
He was too gifted at this, wasn’t he!?
“Tch!” Mina scoffed at her. “Amateur!”
Long Di’s gaze slid in her direction, causing her to become wary. “What!?” Mina never knew what was going to come out of his mouth. His randomness was unmatched!
Thankfully, he didn’t say anything to her and set his gaze back on Sun Fenfang. “If you don't want to be in my harem, that's fine. Regarding your earlier question, the answer’s a resounding no.”
When Sun Fenfang heard Long Di’s rejection, it was like a bomb went off in her head!
“What!? Do you know who I am!?” Sun Fenfang had never experienced such disdain from someone before.
“Okay, I am pretty sure I’ve heard that phrase more than ten times, but I didn’t keep the counter for it. Gimme a minute, lemme try to see if I can get a ballpark estimate of how common you are,” Long Di said before he visibly started counting on his fingers.
“You…! Ack!” Sun Fenfang coughed up a mouthful of blood in anger and fainted.
“S-Sun Fenfang!”
“Wake up!”
The people surrounding Sun Fenfang were surprised that she just fainted like that.
Long Di was physically unable to care less than he already didn’t, so he looked to his feline counterpart. “Pebbles, could you pickpocket that corpse for me, please? As a male, I wouldn’t want to be mistaken as an intercourse offender.”
“Leave it me Long Di,” Pebbles saluted his friend before he turned to the goddess. “Mina, could you pickpocket that corpse for me, please? As a feline gentleman of the highest calibre who’s also a functioning member of society, I don’t want to be mistaken as a Mina.”
“Screw you!” Mina had no idea why this infernal cat took set on her today! That’s a lie, she knew why.
This was revenge for when she whacked him in the back of his head with the manga. She was suffering for it now.
She had to ask herself, was it worth it? Would she do it again?
Yer damn right she would!
When she whaled on him, that was a catharsis of the highest order! That had to have been nirvana by proxy.
She had to get a hit in on Long Di one of these days but as long as he penned her beloved manga, she couldn't risk giving him brain damage.
Lord knows the boy wasn’t stable enough to begin with, so hits to the head could be what broke the proverbial camel’s back here thus making him wholly and fully in need of a mental asylum. And considering that 99% of the inhabitants in cultivation novels are walking around like it's nobody’s business, Mina knew that there was none of that here.
“Oh for Pete’s sake!” Xiannu Liang couldn’t handle the perpetual back and forth between these three fools and went to the limp and motionless body of Su Fenfang.
“W-What are you doi—!?”
“Oh shut up, mob character number one million.” Xiannu Liang shut down whatever that nameless character was about to say as she shamelessly searched through Sun Fenfang’s robes before she found the two keys she had on her.
“Here,” Xiannu Liang gave the golden keys to Long Di. “Let’s get the prime waifu.”
“Thank you waifu #2,” Long Di shamelessly replied, sending a deep wave of blush into Xiannu Liang’s cheeks.
By now, the keys were all in the hands of someone from Long Di’s team.
Without further ado, Long Di placed the keys in each and every one of the keyholes. Once they were all in, they all turned at the same time eliciting a melodious clangour from the locking mechanisms.
Everyone present, it didn’t matter if they were one of the Seven Heroes or Five Nobles, waited on the opening of these giant golden doors with bated breath.
Uuurrrnn…
The giant golden doors groaned open, and a blinding light escaped from the widening opening.
“You’d think a spiritual doorway would be properly oiled. That creak made my tummy rumble,” commented Long Di.
“Tell me about it. It made my tail shiver and my ears quiver,” Pebbled joined in, ruining what should have been a solemn moment.
As soon as it fully opened, everyone’s eyes widened in shock and awe. No one was an exception to this, except once again, Long Di who proceeded to ruin the moment by uttering.
“You see that? That’s someone qualified to be in my harem.”
