When I saw all these pills, my ‘see a treasure and can’t walk away disease’ flared something fierce!

And you know what that means. It means I shall bullshit my way into soothing it somehow.

Right now, a massive crowd was amassing outside the upper doorways. This was because right now, several figures stood before the massive golden door.

There weren't as many people as there were keyholes since some people hadn't arrived as yet. However, the ones that were here were people that others didn't dare to approach carelessly.

One of these was obviously Tan Yongzheng. He was the most eye-catching here, since around him were the Seven Heroes. One of the Five Nobles stood behind him, saying nothing, while another two, Heavenly Sun Noble and Violet Flame Noble were both injured and bound.

Many people were shocked to see this since the news of what happened outside hadn't spread that far quite yet.

Nevertheless, people saw Jixie Wudongyuzhong with two golden keys standing obediently behind him.

Another person that stood before the golden door was a beautiful young maiden. Though she wasn't on the level of Qin Ling, Wei Yun or even Feng Yu, for that matter in, she was still above average.

Several youngsters surrounded her like the stars circling the moon. They fawned after her and sang her praises. Despite all this, however, she wore an expression of arrogance that surpassed even Tan Yongzheng.

Her name was Sun Fenfang, and she was an alchemist. Right now, she was a One Cauldron Alchemist.

This was no simple task, as to be an alchemist meant that one had to pass strict tests and undertake countless exams. One's knowledge regarding different spiritual herbs and the outcome of their combinations had to be something an alchemist knew by heart.

The level of flame control they had to attain in addition to their reserves of spiritual force had to reach the pinnacle. To enter the road of alchemy was easier said than done and all this was what was necessary for just the lowest level alchemist, a One Cauldron Alchemist.

For Sun Fenfang to reach this level as a younger generation expert definitely marked her as a genius among geniuses. There were some old fellows who weren't able to take this first step even if they spent their entire lives.

With all this in mind, Sun Fenfang truly had the capital to be arrogant. Also, no one would dare to attack an alchemist for the key. Ruining a relationship with a future high levelled alchemist just wasn't worth it.

Even Tan Yongzheng was surprised that there was such a young One Cauldron Alchemist in what he considered being an uncultured backwards place.

Regardless, as of now, Tan Yongzheng and Sun Fenfang were the only ones with keys here right now. The reason they didn't go into the doorways was because they already had more than one key each, so they would qualify for the inheritance of the True Star Sage Relic.

They weren't particularly interested in going in the other doorways. Tan Yongzheng had seen treasures of these levels before and this Relic didn't offer anything amazing in the other locations. Sun Fenfang was an alchemist, she could just make a promise to make a particular pill and many would move to get her whatever she asked for.

So these two didn't need to expend too much effort on the other doorways.

"You stinking cat, you're lucky my arms are tired!"

"And you're lucky I care about the laws of reality which would surely shatter if I perform the impossible by making you ugly!"

"Screw you!"

"Don't come at me in anger cuz you'd never be laid!"

"Screw you! Anyone would be lucky to have all of this!"

"Five out of ten!"

"Argh!"

A vicious back and forth broke the silence that had settled over the crowd due to the pressure wrought by Tan Yongzheng and Sun Fenfang.

Everyone looked over to see a scaled cat-like thing atop the head of a... was that a Ren'duan!?

Tan Yongzheng's heart shook to see a Ren'duan outside of its Dwelling. Even where he was from, these were existences that were not easily provoked but they were also not allowed to leave their Dwelling either.

Seeing one outside like this was a first for him. If this was allowed in this backwater place, could he capture this Ren'duan and force it to produce weapons for him!?

His mind worked on achieving this.

He looked at the girl who was walking beside them and saw nothing really special about her. In fact, the phrase 'five out of ten' appeared in his mind's eye for reason.

"Screw you!" Mina screamed at Tan Yongzheng. She didn't know why but she could feel him judging her.

"What the—!?" Tan Yongzheng was shocked and enraged when Mina said this to him out of nowhere. What did he do!?

Then, like the agent of chaos he is, Pebbles saw his opportunity and spoke up.

"Wow! Are you gonna take that from her? Personally speaking, I wouldn't let that happen to me... but that's just me, though."

Tan Yongzheng's face reddened when he heard what Pebbles said. "You—!"

"You can't say that Lord Pebbles the Wondercat. Maybe he's a beta. I think they get off on that." Jiancheng Shu chimed in.

"Ah yes! Pebbles slammed his fist in his palm in understanding. "You could very well be right." He then looked at Tan Yongzheng. "Hey there my good man, are you a Beta? Asking for a friend."

"Who the hell are you!?" Jixie Wudongyuzhong was enraged that Pebbles dared to speak to Tan Yongzheng like this.

At the same time, his behemoth puppet pulled up behind him. As of now, it was far more monstrous than it was when it arrived.

It seemed that Tan Yongzheng had helped Jixie Wudongyuzhong gather the materials he needed to complete the puppet, so now his confidence was at an all-time high.

Pebbles stared at Jixie Wudongyuzhong, then at the puppet, back to Jixie Wudongyuzhong before he settled on the puppet.

"Goodness Pinocchio, the years have not been kind."

"I'll kill you!" Jixie Wudongyuzhong didn't know why but what Pebbles said a while ago angered him.

"Wait Jixie Wudongyuzhong," Tan Yongzheng stopped him at the last minute, but the entire time he never tore his eyes from Pebbles. "Who are you?"

"Who am I?" Pebbles pointed a paw to his chest.

"Yes," Tan Yongzheng nodded. It wasn't normal for a magical beast to speak. He might not know what creature Pebbles was, but its origin couldn't be ordinary if its intelligence was comparable to humans.

"Pebbles the Wondercat!" Pebbles announced unabashedly.

"Puh!" Tan Yongzheng nearly coughed up blood in anger. What kind of answer was this!? Was it not obvious that he was asking for this thing's background among other things!?

Why was it just giving him its name!? And what kind of name was Pebbles!?

He couldn't care less if he was a Wonderful Cat! It failed at that last part, anyway!

"I know," Pebbles waved at him. "I tend to have that effect on people."

Shu!

Two figures emerged from another doorway. One wore a cowl that hid her appearance and the other was a woman that didn't warrant a second glance. They didn't have a key, but it was probably a case where they had it hidden somewhere.

Tan Yongzheng alone was inwardly shocked at the two people. The average girl had a cultivation base that exceeded that of the people he took as servants and the other girl with a hidden expression radiated powerful nature energy. There was only one race that had it as pure and as strong as this, but... could there truly be one here!?

Was this really the backwater place he thought it was!? What was going on!?

Shu!

The last doorway flashed and out of it came a young child, who couldn't be more than eleven. He had a key in hand and his expression gave nothing away. Nothing being the apt word here, because nothing was all it gave away.

Who else could it be but Long Di?

Tan Yongzheng was shocked that he was unable to see through his cultivation base. Long Di's gaze then shot in his direction and his heart trembled.

This child gave him an extreme sense of danger!

However, Long Di's gaze didn't stay on him for long, it drifted behind him to see Heavenly Sun Noble and Violet Flame Noble injured and captured.

Tan Yongzheng didn't care that he saw them as he emboldened himself and asked. "Are you Long Di?"

How could he not recognise Long Di? The boy's unique appearance made him easily recognisable even those who had not seen him before.

Tan Yongzheng

And to this, Long Di only had one thing to say.

"Those are mine."
