“Entertain me and live beyond that and I’ll consider it!” he roared.
May I say, it was then that I knew… I effed up.
****
With those conditions in place, I came to know that these people are way too nonchalant about murdering someone they’ve never even seen before.
Oh well, at least I can use this idiot as a whetstone for furthering the tempering of my somatic essence, which can be done through battle as well. This will allow me to bring my understanding of the Breaking Mundane Forging Heaven method to another level.
He was not qualified to kill me, so I would use this opportunity to better myself.
D-Dum!
My cauldrons burst into being as I ran the Foundation Forge Body Tempering Art at full speed.
“That’s more like it!” an exhilarating grin was plastered on his face as he got the opponent in me that he wanted.
D-Dum!
All nine of his own cauldrons erupted when he entered battle mode as well. They were, all of them, high-grade cauldrons, and the blood lust he radiated made it seem as if these cauldrons bathed in the blood of his enemies.
Hm, couldn’t be me.
However, none of them had a pearl, so that meant that this guy was a Ninth Duan Martial Disciple at best.
My somatic essence cultivation, because I fully mastered the Nine Tempers of the Jade Verse of the Bone Chapter, was only at the peak of the Tan’tien Saturation realm.
Holy cow, that’s weak. Man, somatic essence cultivation-wise, I suck.
“So you’re a peak martial disciple, huh? Perfect! This means I can go all out!”
He’s the first guy to not be caught off guard by the appearance of my cauldrons, but I’m owing that to his mental faculties.
But it seems he thinks I’m at his level. He has no idea I’m an entire realm below him. Can’t he feel the difference or something?
It doesn’t even seem he can see my pearls, not like they can help me right now.
They’re see-through right now mind you, so they blended into the cauldron’s appearance. I wasn’t a martial disciple, damn it; I was a martial adept.
Boom!
The giant launched from his original spot at an unreal velocity. With his cleaver in hand, I saw how he aimed to cut me in two!
Plink!
Sparks erupted as I raised my sabre to block it!
I flew off to the side under the power of his blow!
Ju! Ju! Ju! Ju! Ju! Ju!
I created a ditch as I dug my sabre into the ground to slow my forceful travel.
Shu!
Again, he was upon me! He wasn’t giving me a chance to breathe, and he wildly hacked away with his giant meat cleaver!
“Come on, fight! Fight me already! Get my blood boiling, boy!”
Spittle kept flying as he shouted. There were no techniques to his movements, only a chaotic madness driven by overwhelming strength!
It took everything I had just to keep my sabre from flying out of my grip!
‘I can’t keep backing down at his pace or he’ll back me down to death, well… theoretically. I need to find an opening to use the Breaking Mundane Forging Heaven.’
I have to admit that this brute is much better than me when it comes to somatic essence.
He’s faster than me, stronger than me and everything else in between.
I’m probably only alive because he wants a real fight from me and nothing else.
Suddenly, a thought came to me. ‘Just maybe…’
Shing!
Suddenly, Long Di’s sabre lit up with a soft glow.
The giant’s eyes opened in shock. “Sabre intent!?”
Distraction achieved. I didn’t hesitate to make full use of it.
‘First Forging, Nine tempers!’
Surprised? No one said I had to use a hammer when using it, now did they?
I call it my life hack. Did ya get it? I’m hacking at life. You get it right? Yeah, you get it. Man, I crack myself up.
Vrrrm!
The sabre wheeled wildly as it blurred out of sight when I brought it in at a strange angle straight for the giant’s neck!
“What the—!”
Bang!
Though he was off guard, he was able to block the first strike with relative ease. After all, I was still slower and weaker than he was by an entire realm, but this is what made Breaking Mundane Forging Heaven so good right now.
“What!?”
The Second Temper was already en route at another bizarre angle!
The giant couldn’t react in time as he had yet to recover from the first strike. He had no fear of my strength; I know that, but he was more than wary of my sabre intent and so he treated every strike with solemnity.
He wasn’t able to get his cleaver up in time to block the Second Temper!
Boom!
The sabre crashed into the giant, sending him stumbling back several steps!
So that’s it when it’s being used for fighting. Not bad.
The Breaking Mundane Forging Heaven was truly magical, as not only was it able to perform a near-unparalleled forging method. It could also be used as an offensive-type martial technique.
After all, the Hellfire Forge Clan could never have been a top force so many years ago without being powerful in their own right!
Bam!
The giant glared murderously at me while a sizeable gash ran from his chest to his waist.
“What was that move!?” he asked through gritted teeth.
“The First and Second Temper of Nine,” I answered him.
There was something else I noticed in my attack a while ago. It seemed as if the weight and power of the move is superimposed on the following Temper.
That was why the Second Temper was able to follow up with its attack so quickly. It took the momentum from the deflected First Temper and added it to the Second Temper for even greater power. Of course, there was also a portion of the power dispersed from the previous blow, which carefully controlled the power increase.
“Which sect are you—?”
Boom!
He quickly found that he could spare no more time on this question as I did the same as he did and launched myself in his direction like some wayward daredevil!
“Do me a favour and stand right there,” I said en route towards him. “I’m gonna unalive you a little bit.”
Because second set of chapters were not uploaded yesterday, two sets will be uploaded right now to get everything back on track.
