"What did you say? An-what?"

Xu Chuanchuan's expression stiffened upon realizing that she had made a slip of the tongue. Then, she panicked to think of an excuse before saying, "I said...Tang Xin."

"But I clearly heard you saying An...something just now?" Murong Shi said, a playful smile forming on her face. "Is that Tang Xin's nickname?"

Taking advantage of the situation, Xu Chuanchuan awkwardly smiled and nodded.

Murong Shi didn't expose Xu Chuanchuan even though she knew the other party was lying. Instead, she sat up, grabbed the crocodile bolster with one hand, and narrowed her eyes as she looked at the crocodile. Then, she said in an unkind tone, "Since it's a gift for her, this thing can't sleep between us."

"Why?"

Snorting, Murong Shi coldly said, "Because I don't like it."

…If you're jealous, just say so.

Xu Chuanchuan could only watch as Murong Shi took the crocodile bolster away and locked it away in the wardrobe as if she were locking away a criminal.

After stuffing the bolster back into the wardrobe, Murong Shi pretentiously dusted her hands before walking back to the bed and saying, "Let's sleep."

"Okay..."

The switch for the lights was on Xu Chuanchuan's side, and she only turned them off after Murong Shi had settled back into the bed. As soon as the room was plunged into darkness, Xu Chuanchuan felt all of her senses being magnified.

Xu Chuanchuan could smell the light scent wafting off from Murong Shi's body. The smell was a familiar one as it was probably the scent of the shower gel she typically used.

Now that one extra person occupied the room, the room's temperature had seemingly become a little higher. Unable to stand the heat, Xu Chuanchuan pulled the blanket covering her aside.

Murong Shi remained silent throughout this process, seeming as if she had fallen asleep already. Then, out of curiosity, Xu Chuanchuan tentatively asked, "Are you asleep?"

"No," Murong Shi lightly responded.

"I-It's cold at night. Y-You'd better cover your belly with the blanket, or you'll catch a c-cold easily," Xu Chuanchuan said, s
