Ji Fanyin brought the camera close up to one of the accessory boxes and asked, “What do you think is in there?”

Chen Yunsheng responded carefully, “The box looks flat… Is it bracelets?”

“Nope.”

“Necklace?”

Ji Fanyin tilted her phone downward and back up to emulate a nodding action. “You’re getting close.”

Chen Yunsheng spent another few more seconds in thoughts, trying to gather whatever little knowledge he knew about female accessories. “Princess necklace?” (It’s referring to the type of necklaces that rests nicely on the collar bone.)

Ji Fanyin’s lips curled up in interest. Deciding not to tease the young man anymore, she pried open the lid to show it to him.

Sitting in the box was a golden medal with a basketball inscribed on it.

The medal’s design wasn’t exactly aesthetically pleasing, but the feelings behind it were sincere. Thus, she chose to carefully stow it away.

There was a loud thud on the other side of the phone, as if something had been knocked over.

The screen spun around before finally halting on Chen Yunsheng, who was covering his face.

“Don’t get so agitated,” said Ji Fanyin as she closed the accessory box. “I’m just showing you that I’ve been keeping it well.”

Chen Yunsheng turned his phone away from him, not wanting to show his furiously blushing face. He murmured weakly in protest, “… This is unfair.”

Ji Fanyin chuckled softly before repeating her blessing, “Happy birthday.”

She found joy in teasing the youth, somewhat similar to how she would poke fun at Song Shiyu from time to time. It was just that the former was innocent fun whereas the former was fueled by her inner wicked streak.

Well, both are quite entertaining anyway.
