Hey everyone!! This is to explain why Gu Yi didn't choose the third option 'Flash of Inspiration'. He called the 'Flash of inspiration' a double-edged sword because with this ability his sensitivity to strange or supernatural events/things will increase, which might help him determine when something bad is going to happen, but he doesn't need it because he can determine events easily through deductions. Even though it comes with 50% increase in resistance to mental trauma, it doesn't help him anyway because even if he has 50% more resistance to mental trauma, due to 'flash of inspiration he'll experience more mental sensitivity eventually leading to more mental trauma

And what he needs the most right now is to have an ability that will help him lessen the damage to his psychology during deductions. That's why he chose Mental shelter.
