PHA - Chapter 279 - You Cannot Stop The Power of Panties

Aside from Little Death's inability to exert precise control over her mana, Alice also noticed a little detail that might justify Flaman's evaluation of the undead girl to be as strong as he was.

Whenever Alice got close to Little Death, she noticed that the undead girl's mana output would see a clear increase. Conversely, when she distanced herself from Little Death, the undead girl would reduce her attack frequency, go on the defensive, and try to get close to her. This behavior might make sense if Little Death was a close-quarters magic warrior, but the undead girl was obviously a magician capable of using long-range attacks.

So, Alice quickly realized that Little Death's behavior might have something to do with the Torres Royal Coin she carried on her. Perhaps Little Death's strength would only see an increase when she was within a certain range of the coin. Meanwhile, once she was outside this range, her strength would fall to a certain extent.

This would explain why Flaman felt as if Little Death's strength was being restricted when he fought her. This was because that was indeed the case. If Little Death was outside a certain range of the Torres Royal Coin, her mana pool would fall to the level of the Four Heavenly Kings.

Little Death must know about this restriction as well. She must also know that with her restricted mana, none of the weakened taboos she cast could actually do any harm to Alice, a "Demon King" capable of casting taboos freely. Hence, when she was far from Alice, she decided to stop attacking and defend herself while trying to get closer to Alice, only attacking when her mana had recovered.

Meanwhile, Little Death's inability to manipulate mana at a precise level was probably her only weakness.

It made sense, though. If Little Death could skillfully control mana on top of having such a frightening mana pool, she'd essentially be a second Demon King. If that were the case, the demons would have had a strength advantage over the humans, and there was no way the demons' past attempts at
